The upper arms look great on both sides. I was surprised, considering all the noise.
When I use an injector needle, because most of my steering linkage are still Ford original components(no zerks and I haven't ported any yet, could add zerks relatively easy tho, if you want), I pierce 2 holes in the boots , -injection site and ex spell to flush joints , exchange old grease with new. I patch the holes w/permatex Black. Works great if your into needles. You just have to denature both sites first for it to hold.

You used the TV stuff lol, I wondered how good that crap was. An ingenuous get rich quick plan for whoever thought of that one. It was one of those , - "man, I wish I would of have thought of it" head bangers once I saw that one.

Yea, when I swapped out my upper arms the bushings looked terrible from the out side, once I began removing them I noticed they were still good for as terrible as they looked. Removed the new ones a couple months ago to perform an alignment from scratch before installing new tires. Had to remove them so I could pull my cams to clean them up and anti-sieze. I wanted the shop to have no problems getting the alignment perfect after mounting the tires. That worked against me. They put the truck on the rack and being my alignment was in the green, they didn't touch it. That's after explaining to them what I did and why. Boneheads, of course it was close, I just did it lol. The new tires are excellent btw. I can hall *** on a windy on ramp if I want, when getting my spunk funk on.

Some pics I never posted, -

Your welcome. Yea if yours is bad, after you install a new one, the truck will feel much newer driving. Like you got new shocks sort of. If your rear end howls, it'll silence that as well. There's a lot riding on that bushing. These trucks should have two of those vs just the one.

Thanks for the offer, I've already got the mount though. Ordered it a while back when I had a big discount

I've got a clunk on hard shifts so I suspect the new mount will do the trick. However, I don't think it will fix the shudder when the truck shifts into overdrive under load or the occasional slippage. Those are problems that my built trans will address

Yea that kind of OD clutch damage occurs if you pull a trailer or have the bed loaded down using OD. These transmission haven't any cooling capacity in over drive. Cooling capacity ceilings at 3rd gear. So you'll smoke the clutches pretty quick in OD, just using OD once can do these transmissions in.

Only thing you can do is make it a cocktail....which consists of the same friction modifier used in the LS rear ends. Since flushing the trans will make the problem worse, a **** tail is the only resort.

I've done the same thing before with a F350. It doesn't matter, F350/F150 the same can happen with the same weight behind you or in the bed. It's why these trucks have OD lock out...no cooling.

Yeah the reason it's happened is because it's been on 35 inch tires with factory 3.55 gears since 2001 and for 150k miles. I know I need to change the gears out as soon as possible, just thinking the trans will need to come first

Yea, that's a lot of miles with those tires. Generally I wouldn't think so with that alone..35's/3.55's. Not that big of deal, just be down on power. But yea, with those miles....different story. The trans went a long way set up like that ehh.

Yeah! She's held up well for the circumstances. Not only the tires, but the PO would haul his big *** boat down to Florida several times a year as well. I put the nails in the coffin last summer when I towed 3k pounds almost every day for 4 months straight. I will say, she's the prettiest work truck around
