WOW, -Forgot that you suffered through that mess! I've seen what happens to filters after a little Marine Biology lol. My kid put her 150 to the test -
Kids right.

Yea, nothing like what you experienced. You didn't have a whole lot of options at the time I expect. You saved her though
Haha she definitely tested it.
If I had any other way out I would have taken it but that road is the only exit. I was lucky I had another change of oil in the bed or my fiance, our dogs, and myself would have been wading through about 4 ft of water to get to dry ground. Lol

Could you see contamination it in the crank case, how much above the max line was it before you took care of it ? ? Yea that could of burned the engine up quickly if you didn't use your head. ...great save for sure!
No problem, maybe I should start a Ask Jbrew Gen 10 thread lol. It would get rid of some of that guilt treading on AK's...plus it would cut down on the PM's. Someday perhaps

The water was high enough that it was sucked in through the air intake but I changed it less than a minute later. I had probably a good quart of water in the case. Where I really got lucky was on the next flooded portion of road because it didn't take on any that time but it was high enough to come into the cab and short out my amp under the back seat. I'm on 34s and 3" body lift too.
When the water was coming over the hood my fiance asked me if we were going to make it about the time water was hitting my feet... I trusted in the truck and said we would be fine, all the while I was freaking out on the inside. Lol luckily the truck got us through.

You would of never known it was red if the hood wasn't raised. Wow. Nice mud paint job.

Should've gone 6 inch lift lol. I've had water almost enter my cab when our town flooded. Was right at the bottom of my door and I'm on a 6 inch suspension and 35s. That must've been so damn deep for it to go up to the Intake

Lol Yeh i guess so. It's definitely a scary feeling when the water is coming over your hood.
