Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. The side or the trailer that's exposed to direct sun light browned the tires. UV rays pulled the oils right out of them. Apparently there's nothing I can do about this. This was back in 2019 as well. The trailer is a 2018. That was after only a year. So UV's on the tires, - not good I guess. I can't recall the brand name of the tires. But if the factory put them on a TT, I guarantee you it was cheapest they could find lol.
Anyway, I haven't used the Stoners on anything else yet. It supposedly the best if your looking for the original shine tire dressing look. I put some research into it a few years back. But yea, I haven't used that on any other vehicles yet, still have ArmorAll Foam on the shelf, it's older and I had a lot of it at one time...trying to use that up first, and it works good as well.
Didn't make it to look for any tire stuffs yet... I spent way more time under the hood (again) tonight than I had anticipated. I took the battery and battery tray out and almost cried. Apparently one of my old batteries that was in there leaked down onto the frame. It ate the paint away, and now it has a decent amount of surface rust. The good news is, it is very easily repairable. A coat of POR-15 and it'll be good as new. Bad news is.... I was hoping I was about done with this car for now, LOL. After I saw that, it will et at me until it's fixed.
Ford really did a horrible job painting under there... maybe it's the late 80's Oxford White curse.... but I can see primer in several places. Actually... I could on Frankie too, and he's got black paint. Soooo... yeah, Ford sucked in that regard.
Thanks for the suggestion @OhioLariat for the hood insulation. I got it put on tonight, and also replaced the hood seal that attaches to the cowl. That stuff is itchy.
As I was typing this, going back and forth to FB, one of the admins of our Fox Body FB group got t-boned (drivers door) in his tonight. I've seen these cars take a serious hit and people walk away. I remember one of the old Mustang mags had picture of one that tried to Knight Rider into the trailer of a parked semi at 85 mph, and they walked away.
Brew.... reading back through your descriptions just now, it dawned on me that for the very last car show last year, I tried something new. It's still somewhat on the tires, but it gives the "satin clean" look to them, just as you describe. Check this out... it's Lemon Pledge. Do you like this sheen?

Yea that guy is my go-to for detailing. But no, that's not the finish I referring to. Also, that's not the stuff he uses professionally. He uses Stoner Tire Finish professionally as well. From what I recall, he uses a two step for cleaning tires. First cleans it with a Superclean solution...- Superclean, -
I was actually just watching him do a car with a bottle that looked like that..... seems like he was calling it "Purple Superclean". I'll hafta go back and find that again, LOL.
Thanks Brewster!
BTW, I damn near spit my smoothie on the screen when you called that dude "whitehead". LMAO
