I know right. Well, we didn't really plan anything, looks like it's going to be a little harder to get any takers...spur of the moment. Big dinner planned later, we will probably just stick with that.
Good morning thinkers!- first day back at the salt mine ( vacation last week) Can i go back home…
Hope you all had a great fathers day- the kids and grandkids came over and brought pizza- my youngest son bought me a bag of detail stuff ( wax, cleaners, soap) to take care of new blue with. ( im not sure what he’s trying to tell me…)

Rode the bike to a motorcycle and car show Saturday called hot rods and hogs. Only saw about a dozen bikes and several hundred cars. Lot of classics, a few clap trap new crap civics and what not. But this Mustang was immaculate. I thought of White as soon as I saw it. I know you had a 4 eye of some kind, perhaps an '86 if I remember correctly. I believe this was an '85 because it has the dual exhaust but still has a carb. That was a one year only deal as they went to speed density FI in '86 and '84's were still single exhaust I believe. Anyway the crowd was thinning when I snapped this pic but then I found a shady spot near the exit. They were funneling all cars through one driveway, so as they left, it was a perfect parade. I didn't take many pics but it was nice to listen to V8s rumble and smell the un-burnt hydrocarbons. Of course everyone had to give a good rev and perhaps a burn out or 2. I didn't realize how much I missed getting out and going to shows since this whole lock down thing started. I can't wait to do more things outside and with people again. F U Covid!
Found an unpleasant surprise while stripping the rocker panels. About 10 or so rust holes. Trying to decide between full rocker replacement and just curing out and patching them. The rest or the rocker and cab corners are solid.

Yes, that is indeed an 85. I've owned an 85 and an 86. You are correct also on your assessments of the changes from 84 to 86. 84 had a different bumper cover though... on 85 and 86 had that cover. BTW, That show I went to was loaded as well... I was in good company, for sure.
