The picture didn't come out that good. To better describe, the 4" pipe has been reduced to a 2.5" hole through the center. There's years and years of expelled detergent, dish soap and what nots just caked on inside of the old pipe. It's been plugged up in the past, a few years back. A big chunk will break off and stop it up. It needs to be replaced but it's buried right under their pool. I can only punch a hole through it. This time the blockage was about 16' in. My sewer tap is about 3' in. I noticed the pipe drop at the fernco looking inside the pipe. It was collecting a little bit of carnage, - it wasn't blocked there, but I figured I better straighten that out...it wasn't helping. That Fernco may have eventually gave out if I was to leave it. I may have to purchase my own machine vs renting one. I'm not sure what to do yet.

The trailer has a flowjet macerator system...like a grinder and pump that works very well. No problems when that was being used full time last year. But it's been awhile since then. Flushing the tanks yesterday may have shoved a lot of loose stuff in that old pipe to one spot and collected too fast. It took some grunt getting through it though. I should of left the damn trailer alone, that's what I get I guess lol.

During hurricanes you really gotta be light on the water use and you may still end up with a yard full of ****.
Yea, my kids place use to be with a septic system at some point before she purchased it. It's city sewer now, - I found a piece of the old tank digging the trench for a gas line...it was not where it was suppose to be, - just glad I had a 320 excavator for a little while, I tell you that. Usual practice is to smash the tanks where they sit and relocate for a new field. It was probably a chunk of some old Amish farmers tank from 200 years ago...smelled like mothballs so lol.

That would be terrible to deal with after/during a Hurricane if that happens, there's not much you can do but get of dodge.

Brew, could you get it punched, then sleeved/epoxied?

Drawing a blank..I'm not sure what that is. You're referring to the pipe right?

This is what I am referring to in the video below. If it goes under a pool, this could be a pretty good solution.

I hate to do it, but after 12 years I'm going to sell Blue. The freaking market is bonkers and now is the time to sell him. I will hate to see him go, and especially with only having 129k on him. Check out this NADA value. It went up 750 from the last book. Not including the 275 for the fiberglass canopy. I'm firm at $5200. Just less than 300 over trade in value. And he's clean as hell.

Interesting, yea haven't seen or heard of that yet. The first part of the vid yes, where they show the hydro-jetting. I've seen that done, but it doesn't always work due to hardened crust build up. If the pipe has that problem it has to be bored out. This pipe has that but only in one area of the pipe and runs the length.

I think worst case scenario it would be cheaper easier to replace the pipe, for me anyway. Most of the time I can borrow a piece of heavy equipment IF it's not being used, - from a contractor I've worked with or worked for in the past. The pool is about 35% in-ground, it may have to come out but can be reassembled.

I'll keep auguring it out for now, until it becomes a real nuisance. It's plugged up twice since 2016, we'll see how it goes. If it plugs and overflows all over the place, perhaps I can get noobie over here to help with the mess...since he has some experience

Nah, I'm not renting out the trailer again. I can flush out kitchen tank in the yard if I fill 50% of it with straight water and treat it. No using the craper in that thing though. The pipe I tapped at the house is for their kitchen sink, dishwasher and washer drain. If their washer over-flows, the sump pump is right there and it will handle it. Nothing gets damaged. So they're safe as long as the sump pump doesn't die.

Still, I'd feel much better fixing it right...it's a big to-do..

Your selling Blue before Red ?

I would of guessed Red would go first. Blue has been with you longer...and personally, I think it's the better looking truck.

I realize Red has the 5four, - Blue has the 4six....I think I'd still keep Blue, - if it were me anyway.

AK,
I have a question. Are the homes in the background of the truck pick built in AK or are they shipped from say Oregon?
I just can't imagine shipping would be economical with what I imagine the shipping would cost if they were shipped from the contiguous states.
