I love a clean 4-eye, and that's a nice example, Buck!
White, you should look into a set of Redline Tuning hood struts so you can ditch the prop rod. I really like mine. I painted the attachment brackets, and of one didn't know any better, you'd think ol' Henry had put 'em on at the factory.
EDIT: Not the greatest pic, but this gives you the idea.
OK. F150 Content:
I picked up a K&N hot air setup in trade for a factory intake tract, and tossed the pipe on over the weekend. It was a direct fit to the factory air box.
It's not as pretty as your Volant pipe, Brew, but I'll bet it makes the same "Whuuuuuuhhhh" sound under load. I'd forgotten how well the factory silencer mufflers that noise. On the other hand, I'm now getting 29 MPG, knocked 3 tenths off my quarter mile time, and my dash lights started working again, so.....
Actually, I don't know if I'll keep it on, or not. The intake noise gets old on long uphill runs, and coming from the Springs at 6,000 ft to here at 8,950 involves quite a few.

Found an unpleasant surprise while stripping the rocker panels. About 10 or so rust holes. Trying to decide between full rocker replacement and just curing out and patching them. The rest or the rocker and cab corners are solid.
If you are looking for validation on not changing the entire rocker:
please remember that that panel was not as flat nor as smoothly finished as the visible sections of the body.
It should take much less time to weld in a patch than to replace the panel.
A patch can be finished just as smooth and shiny as the rest of that panel if you desire.
The level of whether it will bother you in the future is not known to me but I would not let welding in a small piece in that area bother me at all. You can finish it out as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

LOL
It looks good Ohio...all those beneys are nice as well. I don't recall it sounding different...the LTH's and Borla probably drowned it out, -
I guess the price of metal went up, my daughters BF blew up his work beater, wanted me to trailer it to the junk yard for him. Told him just to call him up they'll probably come get it. They did and gave him check for 525.....he was pretty happy about that. He paid 800 for it 3 years ago.
Rode the bike to a motorcycle and car show Saturday called hot rods and hogs. Only saw about a dozen bikes and several hundred cars. Lot of classics, a few clap trap new crap civics and what not. But this Mustang was immaculate. I thought of White as soon as I saw it. I know you had a 4 eye of some kind, perhaps an '86 if I remember correctly. I believe this was an '85 because it has the dual exhaust but still has a carb. That was a one year only deal as they went to speed density FI in '86 and '84's were still single exhaust I believe. Anyway the crowd was thinning when I snapped this pic but then I found a shady spot near the exit. They were funneling all cars through one driveway, so as they left, it was a perfect parade. I didn't take many pics but it was nice to listen to V8s rumble and smell the un-burnt hydrocarbons. Of course everyone had to give a good rev and perhaps a burn out or 2. I didn't realize how much I missed getting out and going to shows since this whole lock down thing started. I can't wait to do more things outside and with people again. F U Covid!
Mannn, that Stang is clean, looks sharp. Is that a AMX next to it ?
Just noticed that 85 has SVO sail panels. Also just noticed it says 347 on the fender, LOL.... a bigger screen does wonders. Looks like it has a hood scoop as well.
If you guys haven't seen this girl yet, it's worth a watch to see her in action. She's pretty damn funny.... she's a voice actor that messes with scammers.
No it's composite. It has a different shaped tube. The largest difference is with the air boxes. The Volant air box was second to none, until you couldn't dry media replacements for them. I guess you can now....but for awhile there you couldn't.
