I do not know what a carb valve cover is.
Are you trying to clen up the appearence of the hoses? If so, can you pull the fumes from the valley under the intake? Drill and tap the intake floor and run thr hose from there. then the covers need nothing but a fill cap.

You are late to the party again it seems. I've had my feet up all day relaxing. You are just heading home. LOL

I knew there was a reason I keep coming back here. No one turns into a little kid and cries about everything another user says. I spend time on forums for my VTX and my ST and inevitably most threads end up with someone crying and others taunting. The sitting around a campfire with a beer analogy is great one. I'm just happy to be here. Thanks to all of you!

I'm guessing he means C.A.R.B as in California Air Resource Board. These would not vent to the atmosphere I would think although I have never thought about it before. Just a guess.

I think he is describing carb'd engine valve covers vs FI ones which are lower profile over the taller ones pre-1976 vintage. Around 75 came those bolt-down rocker arms, and nonadjustable. You can't integrate roller arms with FI covers.

AK knows what I mean. The valve covers for a carb'd vehicle are different. I'm using them for looks though. My EFI covers only required slight mods to clear the rockers (cut out the baffle).

But I don't want them to vent, mainly because I don't want to chance having a mess.

Whitey.....I'll check with my Sutton buddy and see if that old 260 is still out in the back 40. If so, it has the old style closed covers. Going up on Saturday if you want me to check.
