damn! some ppl are just asking for trouble.
That gator was plenty big to do serious damage.
A crocodile that size would have severed her arms clean off!!!
The patriarchy saved her!!!
Let the media show that on t.v. to the sheeple
who needs those bad men now, huh ???
Just looking at the forecast. Looks like we'll finally get some thunderstorms the next couple days to help clear out all of the smoke. The 97 degrees and rain might make for a miserable day today, however.
I found something yesterday that gave me a bit of the heebie-jeebies. This was lurking under some electrical tape on one of the wires I removed from our old dryer yesterday.
Mine had no heat, and just kept running.... really only three things that can be. Bad timer, blown thermal cut-off, or a broken element. I've replaced all 3 of those things in the year 2021, so I was puzzled as to what it could be. When I took it apart, and metered the element it was open. I had one on hand, so I threw it in and away we went. Need to order another spare now.
Good lord yalls driers scare me little. Mine is five years old and I all of a sudden feel the need to check electrical components when I get home.
Mine came with the house. It was half of a c.1996 Amana set which gave us no problems other than shooting some lube on a squeaking washer transmission shaft once in eight years. I hope I don't regret the "upgrade" to these 5-is y/o high-efficiency Maytags.
The electrical tape was not melted, so I have to assume the initial damage was not amplified by time, but why the hell would anyone tape over heat damage like that when a new cord is only $20? 🙄 (And we're not talking about subsidized housing, here.)
