AK, those notches are typically in demand. If you get a smokin' deal on it, and can fix it up inexpensively, it might be worth the effort. If I did another Foxbody, it would likely be that, and it would probably be a four-eye, too.

The 'verts are picking up in demand too. Drag racers love them. Ford reinforced the hell out of that thing. My Buddy just parted one out, and he was showing me all of the different things Ford did to make it solid. It's pretty impressive.

I really miss my 86 GT. Sometimes I wish I would have kept that instead of The Eight Nine.

I don't know if you guys watch Motorsports Molly at all, but she just bought another 4 eye. I need to watch it more thoroughly, but I think this new one was possibly an LS powered car.

Holy crapola. I went over and check that 92 out. Those floorboards have been slammed so many times they are off kilter. If you sit in the drivers seat you lean towards the console. The passenger side leans to the console. I jacked it up and crawled under the side. That car has had more offroad mileage than most FX4's. Everything under that car is bent or damaged in someways. Hell the driveshaft has dings all over itself too. I did feel some vibrations at about 40 and up. They got worse as I got to 60.

I will say one thing. The interior was great. The rest of the car is just too hammered for me to even consider.

I see now how the GT panels are missing. Hell they were ripped from the mounts on the left rear. The right front has been damaged and redone. Now on to the motor. The motor actually ran okay. I was surprised. The trans is garbage. Typical 2-3 upshift problems, and an engine light was on.

I passed. I dont' mind some work, but this would of taken a lot more than I wanted to put into it, not to mention trying to find pieces up here.

I really don't need or have a place for another vehicle, but at first this peaked my interests. After arriving, my interest went bye-bye. LOL I think I'll just sell off my Fusion, and probably Blue too. If I get another vehicle, I may just get an Edge. My racing days are over, and besides my 07 Mustang is fun as hell to drive in the summer anyways.

Well, after buying a wiring diagram manual for the truck, I can confirm. @River1 power seats are not a GEM/CTM operated accessory. After finding the Last connector for power seats, I pulled the 30 amp maxi fuse (112) and confirmed this fuse sent power to the connector. After looking over it, I think I can add power seats for $25 and some time.

straight power seats in our Fords are easy as hell to hook up. In the right kick panel is the port for the GREEN wire (power) and the heavy BLACK is ground. You can run the green to the fuse box on the left and the ground just about anywhere also. You can run a tap off one and be good. I did this on the blue truck and it is still that way 10 years later. lol These two wires are all that are necessary for the 6 ways to work. If you have heated seats that requires another wire and a relay, but still quite simple to add on without going thru all the wiring books.

Oh yea, but nothing beats an OEM wiring, especially when all I have to do is hook it to an existing connector. And I think it’s worth a $25 investment.

You're right. I never thought they were GEM\CTM "operated" but I did think they were operated through the "hot at all times" of the ignition which would put them through the GEM\CTM. I went out to the car and starting it while also adjusting the seat which didn't interrupt the seat motors the way the radio is interrupted while starting. Wasn't always that way with the seats. Glad you know now. If you're new to the wiring manual there is also a "component testing" section that covers testing the open and closed conditions of the switch. In my manual anyway the table of contents only lists "component testing" for the switches and not what's in the section; seats, windows, ignition, lights, etc.

My truck originally had bench seats so I don't know if that explains why I didn't have the seat wiring harness or not. I have a connector under the dash but that's where the wiring ends. Do you have the entire harness or just the connector under the dash like my truck?

You can get the motors for $25 or do you already have them along with the tracks? $25 would be a heck of a deal if you don't.

Funny enough I also had the bench seat originally so I don’t have the connector ready to be plugged in. This is where my connector ends, under the passenger side kickpanel

you see my leads when I was testing the connector/fuse power. But no, that’s where it ends for me. I have multiple vehicles I can pull the track/motor/base from. And LKQ only charges $25 for the base with motor. I’ll also pull the wiring harness from an existing F150 harness from the 04 heritage That’s sitting there right now. Since we have both gone from the bench seat to something different, does your seatbelt chime work? I have the plug down there, it’s not hooked up and it never chimes so just curious about your experience on that.

EDIT: yes my manual also has the component testing near the end.
