My LQK is not self serve. You're lucky. I always take my two impacts.... and this last time I really missed my Sawzall!

Yes I know! I love it since it’s much better prices and you can see which vehicles are newer and pull the more sensitive parts off it, such as alternators, any bulbs, and stuff like that. I went to autozone and rented an exhaust pipe cutter. I’m going back tomorrow to get a new dual exhaust and whatever else peaks my interest. But what I REALLY need is one of you gentlemen to see what size bolts/nuts the original trailer hitch is held on with. I need to know if I have the right size sockets before I go!

18mm, and take some extensions, just in case.

Ohio, you’re the best! And the bed has been pulled and the spare already dropped. So I have the easiest access I can ask for. Now putting it on my truck, now that’s a different story. But Thank you Ohio!

Now all you have to do is hope no one has been under there already and changed what you're expecting.

Don't forget to get the trailer wiring harness, plug, and bracket (though if the bed is gone, it may be, too).

Got into the T5 today and 1st gear is trashed. Everything else looks quite good. My Buddy is selling me two T5's... both rebuildable, for 100 dollars. He says at least one of them has a good first...

Also pulled the motor 100% by myself tonight too. I was pretty happy about that. I tried to clean it up tonight too.... and tomorrow I will tear the pan off and see just what I'm looking at for condition. It has had one freeze plug replaced. Another looked like it might be leaking. If everything looks OK, I will replace the freeze plugs.... I want to find brass plugs preferably, but Autozone only has steel. Hopefully NAPA has them... they close at 6 pm here though.

You've taken a big bite out if it, White!

We had 14 loads of material brought in to rework the driveway. I couldn't help myself.

Looking good Ohio!
I really owe you a beer for the tip about finding a trailer wiring harness at the U-pull it! I found a brand new one off a Harley Davidson! It came with a Reese 4 flat adapter! It still has grease in the port. Brand new ford part! I made off like a Bandit!

I’ll post up pictures on the “what did you do to your ten gen today” forum.

Since first gear was toast in the T5, I hit up my Buddy because I knew he had a couple T5's. He told me I could have them both for a hundy, so I jumped right on that!

So I got two good first gears now, I'm going to use this one because the other trans is pretty close to being rebuilt.

So... freeze plugs. I found this in one of the chambers on the passenger side.... you know, the side with a blown head gasket. Wonder why?

Looks like she had a steady dose of tap water
