Was just a question.....didn't mean to upset you.
But if I had a boat it would probably be water.
I said it was an interesting question. I wasn't upset and why would you think so? I only wondered if there was an actual answer to your interesting question and there is. Seeing that it came up on a site about plagiarism made the question all the more interesting. Whatever floats your boat is about whatever you want the bride to be.
I didn't even know we were talking about the car.
I saw the comment about Frankenstein and wondered about the bride thing....
oops
But speaking of Mustangs my boss was trying to buy this 92 LX that was bone stock and low miles, owned by a preacher down south too!
Every time he saw it advertised the guy never answered the phone or returned the call.
Then one day in January the guy returned the call from a couple days earlier, and we had to put everything on hold to go look @ it.
We were in the middle of plowing snow from a storm the night before.
We went and hooked up the car hauler and headed out to meet him, we get there before him and he tells us go ahead and go in the garage it's unlocked and nobody's home !
We waited the ten minutes for him to get there cause it seemed weird and we didn't want to get shot at pulling up with a trailer . Lol
Turned out to be a beautiful car and my boss bought it.
We dumped it back @ the shop and went back out plowing.
The car just sat he wasn't going to drive it in the winter, and in the spring a buddy of mine stopped by and convinced him to sell it to him.
I was surprised he sold it without driving it.
( but he has a GT 500 & a bbf fox body)
My buddy gave it to his kid for HS Graduation because he kept on the honor roll the whole time.
Still has never seen winter and he has always had a daily driver.
Dio was an interesting guy. Not only a great singer but respected as world class gardener and expert on medieval antiques according to a biography on him.
Wow White, what's up? Neither you nor your car was mentioned in my post nor did I become sarcastic or indignant about you or your car. That came from you so own it. I'm also not the one who has kept this going. You're no victim here beyond the one you've made. I've already apologized for saying anything, what else do you want? Call your car whatever you want, I don't care. Jesus!
OK, then tell me where your references to Frankenstein came from then...

I've never owned an LX... all 4 of my Fox's have been GT's.(85, 86, 88, 89)

He was a super humble guy too. I saw him in 2002 with Yngwie Malmsteen. He was so gracious to the audience for coming out to the show.

I'm not sure what you mean by references to Frankenstein? You bringing up Frankenstein reminded me of the argument I had with my father when I was young and that was separate from your car and you. If you want the whole history my father and I had a contentious relationship for years and it was the 4th that had a lot to do with us coming back together. When we were together on the 4th we spent the mornings putting flags and flowers on the graves of gold star vets. Sometimes we drove for hours to get to a grave in some obscure cemetery for a vet that has been forgotten for whatever reason. It's what started us really talking again. We didn't have a lot in common but we had this in common. I miss my dad and I miss doing that with him and I've been thinking a lot about it for the last couple of days. Is that the reference you mean? I'm not sure this fits in with the casual nature of the thinking thread. I don't apologize lightly but I did thinking I had offended you but that didn't seem to be enough??? If I intend to offend someone they are damn well going to know it. There won't be anything passive aggressive about it. Again, there is nothing in my post about you or your car. That should say something about motives and references. And to tell you the truth, if I was thinking anything like what you assumed, I would have said nothing out of the respect I have for you. I thought you had gotten to know me at least that well. I don't go looking for arguments.

I remember that from his biography too. There were times where he was very sick, especially during the beginning stages of cancer but he always stayed after shows to talk to the fans and sign autographs. During an interview in the bio he said something to the effect of, "These are the people that have given me everything I have. I owe them more than just singing." Yeah, that's humble.
Any Dragon Force, Through the Fire and Flames, fans or Guitar Hero players? I don't know anything about Guitar Hero but I came across this video on You Tube where the Dragon Force guitar player, Herman Li checks out the first ever 100% accurate player of the song but he also plays the song at 165% of the original speed which is darn fast to begin with. Herman's reaction to the guy is worth seeing.
I've always admired them... but I've got to start getting more involved. Although he's not their session drummer, my second favorite drummer is their "touring" drummer. I just saw this guy back in January. He was Tony MacAlpine's drummer. They opened for Portnoy's Sons of Apollo. So yeah, got to see my two favorite drummers on the same night.
EDIT: Even got autographed sticks from both of them that night!
EDIT.... Just one more thing (yeah, I'm a Columbo fan)
So back in September of 2010, Mike Portnoy and Dream Theater, after 25 years together, decided to split. Mike wanted to take a year off to do some side projects. The rest of the band wanted to start on a new album, so the split because they couldn't work out a schedule. A lot of people thought he was quitting to join Avenged Sevenfold, but he had told Avenged that he was a one album, one tour drummer right from the start. Anyway... after about 11 years, MP and John Petrucci will finally be on an album together again! It's already been leaked that there is at least one more album in the works for Liquid Tension experiment which is both MP and JP, but also has Dream Theater's keyboardist Jordan Rudess. I am hoping this is going to open some doors to get MP back in Dream Theater sometime soon. Mike Mangini (Portnoy's replacement in DT) is a god drummer, but he doesn't have "the feel and emotion" I get from MP.
