So true. The worst part for me was always the shopping. I was expected to go for my opinions which were always wrong and never mattered anyway. lol

lol, I sure don't miss the 70's vinyl seats in the summer though.

Right , the words "yes dear" ends the suffering much quicker.

Always bring the dog to home depot when both her and I go...so I have something to kick...

Other than a couple mishaps with my damn finishing nailer, the molding went well. The guy that framed this room sucks. The walls are a little wavy in a couple spots. Can't wait to do the other room he did.

It still needs a little touch up paint, and it's ready. I'm going to call it a day though.... I'll do the family room tomorrow LOL. I'm tired. Hopefully next weekend I will have the metal for the shop.

White, I'd say you've banked yourself a lot of Atta Boys with this project. It's looks really good.

Yea, sometimes, well most of the time you'll need a little painters caulk for some of that molding. That's usually due to the 2x4's not being straight for the rough framing. I use doublers on the bottom in basements, -saves time anchoring and running bottom molding..result , - helps the entire wall. You have to run treated on the very bottom anyway...that helps allot with straightness lol.

But yea, there's a few tricks that's good to know in order get straight stock...like say cutting out the middle man and keep them banded. Of course, had to to learn that one the hard way; way back when lol. Banana wood makes it a PITA to finish.
