Yeah, I had a 4 cyl ranger as a delivery vehicle in a past job. They don't seem to accelerate over 40MPH with the AC on. Had to push the blue button.
I think that one was a ~1982 ish
Nope. All tied into the mode select switch

Do the math, LI can come out farrr ahead. Several formulations, but the industry is responding. Want to toss a solar panel on the topper, for tools, small appliance. A guy's gotta eat. Need my coffee, too. Steak, can be cold. 😉
I doubt that a 20+ year-old charging system is up to the task of properly charging a LI battery. (No, I *know* it isn't.) LI batts are picky little bastages, and would go "boom" in short order if charged by the high, unregulated current put out by a standard alternator. Now, if you could insert a charge controller, maybe, but it's just not economical for this application when far less expensive options will work just fine. For running camp accessories? That's different, and certainly worth considering.

That's why the $150 AGM went in, Brew.

That's one thing the Asian manufacturers got right back then. The AC on/off button sure was handy.

Especially when your ranger or civic only had like 60 HP in the early 80s.
My Ford EXP only seemed to have ~60 hp even though it was rated 80. My 19.6 quarter mile still beat out a Sunfire by nearly a second.
The AC was off to get that quarter mile time.

Don't blame yuh. I'll do it again though...for a keeper anyway. Dislike the inconvenience of economy batteries that much I guess. It comes too quickly ime. Sounds like you went middle of the road.

I won't go lithium for a vehicle. Definitely not there yet. My Grandson is though, he has lithium's in his remote control.

Just ordered a hot stapler to do some repairs on the bumper cover I got for Frankie. Any of you have experience with a hot stapler? Just looking for some tips and tricks. I can't wait to get going on it!

Man that's some cold front moving in. Was outside and heard a unfamiliar sound getting closer and closer. Sounded like a stamped. It was a wall of hail. Took me by surprise, we don't experience much of that in the north. It was only 1/2" -3/4 but dense.

That's probably nothing compared to what you guys get in the south.

That happened to me once in PA but I was in the middle of an open field. I got lit up pretty good.

We get hail all the time in CO. A few years back it was bigger than softballs. That's when we learned you should never buy a car with one of those huge glass roofs.
