Guys I need some turf help. I have centipede in my yard and even though I'm watering it as recommended I'm getting brown spots. I was told it could be grubs and it's the right time of year so I treated it. I waited a week then mowed the lawn. Now I'm seeing new spots browning up. I thought since you guys take pride in what you own someone may know something about grass.

I was hoping to avoid a lawn service but I may not have a choice.

Up here, grass is legal. lol Brown or green. Just saying......You can mow it or smoke it. Your choice.

As far as your local and grass conditions, northern ideas probably won't work for you there in Carolina. Probably best to have answered by more local members. I wish you luck

Is it patchy, or large spots. Grubs do patches.

You really need to know the breed. I would dig a hole, and you will find them if it is grubs. Take one to a nursery, and they should be able to give you a specific breed. There are milky spores that take out Japanese grubs really quickly. Lowes sells milky spore here.... but yeah, I would treat the breed instead of a broad treatment.
