So... I forgot to mention, these cans came with these push-in style connectors. Man, these are SLICK! I am thinking about getting some of these for the rest of the connections I need to make.

ETA: About the only time they want pictures is if you value your car above what they normally recommend. So for mine the agreed value was something like 20k, if I wanted a 30k plan they'd want it appraised. They've always been easy to work with. My grandfather used to insure the classics he restored with them. You also get a magazine with information, and they do or sponsor car shows various places.
Right on about Hagerty. Grundy use to be alright but they've grown in to a typical insurance company and their classic, muscle, collector car insurance isn't what it use to be. Hagerty still will cover builds which is great. Anyone that has tried using their homeowners insurance for a loss on a build knows what a nightmare that is. Try getting original 1969 Boss Mustang rear window louvers covered for what they cost when Summit has them for $350. Grundy only covers builds in shops now with their commercial insurance. Nothing about what they offer is any different from any commercial insurance.

I saw Red last night without a heart. The motor was out on the floor. Damn rear main leaking. I pulled the retainer and found the old seal in it. I paid to have it swapped out during the trans swap. Yeah, I wasn't pleased w that. Of course, he blamed it on his worker. Yeah right.

That wasn't the biggest problem I saw. The crossover pipe was cut for the trans install, but the reweld was a freaking joke, When the pipe was released from the left manifold it fell to the ground. The weld (so called weld) broke right off. Bottom half still on the truck, the flange fell to the floor. Yeah, the guy who did it the first time got an ear full last night. He issued me a 150 credit. That wouldn't have paid for the repairs if I hadn't had the motor change, but it works out to about right with the swap out. He'll never get another referral from me. I was a bit perplexed as you might figure. lol

What a douche bag. Like the saying goes... "your company is only as good as your worst employee". I've seen my Buddy deal with some absolute garbage work some of his employees did. I literally saw the u-joint straps on an Explorer's front diff GLUED on because they busted the bolt. They black RTV'd it back together. Needless to say, my Buddy fired him right on the spot.

Sounds like the same guy might be up in Alaska now, LOL.

Hey White, I wanted to thank you for bringing up Hagerty. I see their ads all the time but thought it was just for 60's and older vehicles. I just got a quote for my '02 and it is only about a third of what I pay Safeco. WooHoo!

Right on. I am going to get mine going really quick here. They messaged me last night about the policy again, LOL.

My Buddy has his Lincoln and the 72 Chev through them.... I was talking to him about it last Labor Day at the car show we entered. And..... I've been meaning to switch since then, LOL.

I checked Haggerty for Red for ch*ts and grins and they came back with a 9500 guarantee full coverage for 495 a year. Funny thing is when I was checking, it showed all my cars listed with Hartford, and showed I already had a Haggerty account authorized as acceptable. Weird. I' wondering if they are hooked up that way by business or what. Seemed weird that they had all my serial numbers as I was applying.

My Mustang is with Safeco. Hagerty was quite a bit higher at the time.

$974 a year for the truck and my 76 and that's in Michigan where everyone pays something like $225 automatically on every vehicle for Michigan's catastrophic liability coverage.

akdoggie, I think it was the Patriot Act that originally put all insurances on a national database. It's called the NAIC and has dropped most of the "security" hype behind it to now being about data and statistics.

My insurance is through a local company, and they have all of mine on file too... even my 2011 Escape, which I have only had for a couple months. Don't know what the hell that description is on my F150 though, LOL.... Lightning maybe? COOL!
