Well, looks like I'm going to be a Grandpa again. Unexpected, guess I'm not suppose to tell anybody yet, you guys are safe lol.... anyway, very cool!
That is GREAT, Brewster! Congratulations!

I've been told it is better being a grandparent than being a parent. Hopefully that is true, and hopefully I've got a few more years before I find out, LOL.

Thanks! LOL, in a way. Parenting never really ends. I actually like that MOST of the time I guess. Grand children are great, have an 8 year grandson, he's a bunch of fun. Yea, looking forward to spoiling another.

Everything is here now including the engine, which got here late Friday. I was adding the bed liner today when I was looking, I saw a small crack in my right side exhaust manifold. I thought I heard a small tick once in a while, so that must have been it. Anyways, I was checking what was out there, so I threw out a feeler for a set of short headers. Bingo. I found a set of new P/C shorty's for my 98 from the same guy I got the new Gibson exhaust from 2 summers ago. He gave them to me for $60 with the gaskets and bolt kit.

Since my cats and O2 are functioning fine, and relatively new, no reason to swap them out. Time to get Red finished as winter is only 10=12 weeks away. LOL.

My youngest is 8, and she is a really fun kid. Half the time my two oldest are fighting, and she's just doing her own thing... lol.

Right on... nice to see it all coming together, AK. Maybe you could JB Weld the cracked manifold? LOL. J/K

Well.... I was able to do it on my Buddy's 05 with a lot of the harness disconnected. It only needed the PCM hooked up. I would guess that if you have the PCM, it would work.

EDIT: Correction.... this was on an 06, not his 05. We got the 06 wrecked to get his 05 running again, and the 06 had the tuner when it was purchased.

Which by the way, for those of you that know about that little 5.4 3V project, that things purrs like a kitten. I was really surprised that it was 180 degrees out of time on both sides when I did the timing.... but that is the second time I've seen that happen.

White,

Seeing as you're a competent jack of all trades, any idea of how to solve electrical interference through the radio (boom box) in the garage caused by LED lights?

I've never seen LED's in a home give interference.... but I would use a power line filter. Do you know what amperage you are pulling? Schurter has a really good filter (5500 series) you can use, you just need to know what rating you need. I would guess a 2 amp filter would suit your needs rather well if you are going off of one output. My garage has LED lighting as well, but I would have to have 2 filters due to how it is wired (if that makes sense).

Here's their 2 amp filter, just so you kind of know what I am talking about.... These were effective for fluorescent lighting as well.
