EDIT: JP, how are those DC's with road noise? They look noisy....
They aren't that bad but they are maybe a little worse than my Toyos were. Given my Toyos were 12" wide and these are 11" probably should say that if all things were equal then the Toyos would be quieter. You can easily have a conversation without raising your voice so my wife actually doesn't mind them.

Edit: So at 60 mph on a not so perfect road surface I'm averaging 65 db on my dash.

I'm calling this good....

I've got these things getting cleaned up now... and the bolts in Evapo-Rust.

I went with the new Gates 43272P pump, which comes with the higher flow impeller. What I did not know was that the pipes are not pressed in! They are NPT fittings, and this thing came with pipes AND plugs for the ports. So, I am going to plug off the port for the heater core, and put my temp sending unit directly into the intake. There's not sense in running water up through there if I don't need to.

One night in Evapo-Rust makes a rusty bolt purdy. I can't believe this stuff. The bucket that I have been putting this stuff in is just a large peanut butter container... it is very BLACK, and it still takes the rust right off of these bolts.

So, I cleaned the pulleys up. They are powder coated from the factory (these are my original pulleys) and I don't want to paint them. So here they sit, LOL. Also got my timing pointer put on. I might get the heads put on it this weekend.

Right? It's hard not to just become a walking commercial and tell everyone you see!

Also you can leave parts in there as long as you want! I left some bolts and even a brass prop valve from my highboy in a bucket for over a week (forgot about it) and pulled everything out with no damage and perfectly clean!

If you have really bad parts (like a 40yr old truck would lol) leave it in for a day, pull it out wipe the gunk off the part and drop it in again. I don't think most people can truly appreciate the stuff until they use it. It was a complete game changer for my Highboy resto.

Also haven't tested it yet but they give you instructions on parts too big for a dip.

Also been dealing with this today at the grandparent-in-laws lol. About 6 truck loads down and probably 10more to go. What you see left is the second "trunk" to fall. The first one was where my truck is parked. Been rained out twice which is keeping the humidity god awful

We got a butt load of rain today too. The ski resorts were open today... heard they might have been in Colorado too (Vale)? I just got in from being out in a war zone outside. Pretty impressive displays this year. That sucks about the tree 2100. Looks like that shed held up alright for taking that hit!

As I was sitting, reflecting on my little project on the Stang today, I remembered that I had not ordered a high torque starter for it yet.... the starters that came on the 92-95 5.0 and 3.8's. Its frigging 100 bucks for a starter cable for those, so I ordered an 89 cable, and I will run a solenoid wire myself. I ain't spending an additional 80 dollars for a damn 10 foot piece of 12 gauge wire.

So I cleaned my window inside and out with the sprayway cleaner and a microfiber cloth.... drove in heavy rain this evening.... the windshield was nice and clear but as my wipers go across they streak the window.... after a few seconds it clears back up but if the wipers are constantly going then the windshield is constantly streaked. So is this a wiper problem? They aren't that old and I've had this problem thru multiple sets.

You must have some kind of contaminant(s) on the windshield. Wax, old hydrophobic treatments... something that glass cleaner isn't cutting.
