2100....hjopoe is something simple.

I took the Expy hood blanket and put a heat shield on it. I did find out that the 97-98 F150, the pad is not drilled for that hood. Now the hood is drilled to fit the 99 up panel.

Looks like the alt is dead... hate doing it but had to leave it on the side of the road. Going to charge the battery and hopefully I can get it back home. It looks like a motherf@cker to get to the alt.

This is why I love trucks, things are so easy to get to

Can't recall, but I think yours is a 3.0 isn't it? Those require the passenger side CV axle to be removed... per "the book". On my 2.3 it was difficult, but I got it done without removing the CV axle. There is a shield/shroud thing on it that is a huge PITA to get off, or at least it was on mine. I wound up putting a zip tie where one of the "Christmas tree" retainers was because I had to break it to get it out.

I had another Seagate die on me.... this one has actual physical damage to the disk. Check this out.

Yep 3.0 and Yeah I was watching videos on the highway because I was hoping I could pull it off and get a new one... yeah no way in hell thats happening on the side of the road. Hopefully a new battery will at least get me home.

Yep.... that is a huge disadvantage of front wheel drive. In fact, the only advantage that I can think of on front wheel drive is winter driving.

AK.... looks nice. What did you use for the heat shield? And maybe an even better question is... who, or what the hell is this? Looks like an alligator in a red suit is standing in front of that truck, LOL.

It's cold in Alaska. All the Alligators have traded in their speedo's for suits.

Have any of you ever had water leak in like this? First and only infiltration since I've owned the truck. I did have Wx stripping off for my antenna mount install, but am pretty sure everything is back where it's s'poda be.

Mine leaks on the drivers rear window seal when it rains really hard. The 97/98 has a cup holder back there that gets a little water in it when it leaks. I think it is the rubber seal on mine.
