Me too... last night though, I told the school that I won't be back until September. I can't have all these things going on and go to school, LOL.

They were 100% fine with that. Hell, I might not go back even - at least for networking. Been talking to my neighbor, and I think I want to switch up my direction. I'm a mechanical minded person. I don't feel I am using my mind to my best ability.

Found some hack wiring job done by the builder. SOB's left Romex laying on top of copper water pipes AND some duct work - and yes, the Romex sheathing is discolored where it has been making contact. It is the main feed to the kitchen's North wall, and also my outlet on the back patio. So, I will be coming up with a solution there. Need to find out if it is still legal to have a junction box in the ceiling. Here shortly I will message my Buddy who is a Journeyman Electrician, just to make sure. I think I am fine as long as I have a cover on it, and leave it exposed in the ceiling. Kinda been wanting to make a ceiling mount for a projector anyway, so I might get nutty and make an outlet in the basement ceiling which is on the breaker for the kitchen, LOL.

Covered box in ceiling can be ok. It must remain accessible. Drop ceiling is OK with box above. Sheetrock box in and it must have an access panel. Open ceiling would only need a cover for the box.
If you are doing sheet rock you can bring it to the face of the sheet rock and put a cover over it.

OK, that's what I was thinking.... just probably didn't word it correctly. Looks like things haven't changed (in that regard) since 1993 when I was taking electrical classes in HS. Thanks!

Hey AK, you in the heat up there? I saw on the news Alaska's hot weather/ high pressure is sending the rain down to us in the Seattle area. Potentially record breaking rain for July if the weather folks are to be believed.

Since Wednesday last, 87, 89, 91,93, 94.94, 89 yesterday and about 85 so far today. Yeah, hot as hell here. It's warmer in Fairbanks/North Pole too. Miserable. Our hottest day ever was 85 in 2012 or so, for any day. Now 7 or 8 over that in a row. We may see some rain net week, but nothing in any of the weather charts or apps saying any different. We are 31 days with no percip right now.

LOL, sounds like your home was a big 60hz EMF antenna. Any neighbors ever complain about any reception problems?

Two years ago Paris had a colder winter than the north pole. For whatever reason the weather is messed up. Hunting season comes about a month too early around here now because it just isn't cold enough.

I got home last night, then got called back in to work because the network was down in one of the buildings (tripped breaker).... so with the commute and fix, it chipped nearly 2 hours off of my day. Then I had the classic trip to HD for more stuff, LOL. So I only got half of my wall built last night.

My miter saw still had the same blade on it that it came with.... and it was burning the wood. I got a Diablo blade for it when I was at HD. Man... what a HUGE difference that is. If you guys are looking for a really decent blade for framing, check these out.

I'm glad I don't live in California!

I only live in the People's Commonwealth of Virginia and I thought we had some tyrannical laws.
