Nope. Pulled that when the Vortech went on.

What part is hitting then? I thought that was tucked up in there far enough to clear it?

I was thinking you meant the fitting in the EGR pipe.....

The EGR Flange on the elbow. Different on the '94/95 than yours.
(The block-off was made from the actual flange from the EGR unit.)

Oh geez.... another Edelbrock part that needs grinding, lol. Too bad you can't switch to a Fox setup. WAAAY simpler.

Would it help if your plate/flange was thinner? I am not familiar with where it is making contact with the VC.

Ohio....that looks as good or better than the one JEGS has for 21.99

You guys are pis*ing me off. Both my hands are still screwed up, and Pat's 66 Mustang is sitting without an engine, so we decided to put in the stroker motor into this. I want to see the 347 up and in use. I do see an exhaust nightmare under there (had duals cobbed together and welded to everything it could weld too, lol), but it will get figured right and then cut it out. I highly doubt I could do much with the engine this year, or maybe ever, so it's going into the 66 Might as well see some good coming out of it. Damn hands.

You guys are doing some clean work, with the gasket pic as the exception, lol. Keep it up.

Time to go to therapy. I don't type much right now, as it is the hunt and peck method for the left hand. Right works, somewhat better.

White:
It's not Edlebrock's fault. It fit over the stock VC's. It's the body of the flange that's (still) hitting. The angle of the VC slopes down so the cover's not in play with that now. I'd have some expense in moving to the Fox intake setup, though I do agree it's better on a number of ways.

AK
Thanks. I didn't see a reason to spend money when I had a part in my hand that would work with a little modification.

Sorry you're having trouble with your hands again. Pain and discomfort aside, that's got to be frustrating.

I did some poking around, and it appears that the Cobra intake clears Fox VC's, so that is why I said that. I also had to grind the **** out of my E-brock water pump so the harmonic balancer didn't touch it. That was a fun project.... get all the way done, start it up, and hear SCREEECH. Had to tear it all back off... and I did not notice that their instructions said "may need some minor grinding for clearance purposes".

Damn AK, I hope the PT gets to helping your hands. I hate going to PT.... I always see other people in there and think "do I look like I'm in that bad of shape"? LOL.

Serious though, I hope and pray you'll be over this battle soon!

AK I hope your hands heal quickly! That cannot be fun. I potentially have a kidney stone floating around... not looking forward to finding out if that's true. Pros and cons of being married to a dr... I get done pissing and it looks weird "hey babe come look at this, it's not normal" wife walks in.... yeah looks like you've got blood in your urine". (Gotta love her )Welllllll shoot... 2 days later not cleared up so went to the doctor. Lab confirms lots of blood... now waiting on some tests to see if I have a kidney infection or a stone...

Oh and this highboy better watch it's back I'm getting so fed up with it... I sometimes think it I should just sell it... but then I see finished trucks and I remember why I fell in love with them. Today was supposed to be a bunch of progress, turned into nothing but set back after setback.

I feel you 2100.... I keep asking myself "now, why the hell am I building this 351?". The damn thing runs FABULOUS right now. I took her out for a little jaunt Saturday and asked myself again... but like you say, all I gotta do is watch a video or see/hear one going down the road and I am back on board, lol.

Kidney stones.... man, that would suck. I remember seeing my Brother go through that when he was only 7 or 8 years old. That was rough on him passing that thing.... looked like a spec of pepper is all too. My Father just found out he had them... the doctor said "aren't you in extreme pain?". He's a tough guy... never seen anyone take pain like my old man. Every time I see our dentist (we've been using the same guy for 25 years or so) he always says about my Dad "I can't believe he never wants Novocaine".

I hope it "passes" easily for you, Bro!
