Nearly 15,000 new COVID cases in UT over the weekend. My oldest, youngest, and my Wife have all been sick. They tested negative today though. At least this latest version doesn't seem to be as hard on you.

Planning on getting my booster this week now that the holidays are over. Still not sure if I should dance with the one I brung, or mix and match.

I had Moderna for all three. My Brother had Moderna for the first two, then Pfizer for the booster.

FWIW, He did get sick for his booster... and I did not.

Our doctor is having my Wife hold off on the booster with her current heart situation... kinda makes me nervous.

Welp... the F150 needs some attention. I was going to drive it to work today, but I noticed a puddle under the rear diff. Pinion seal is leaking pretty nicely right now. Decisions must be made.... I knew it had a little leak, and I was hoping it would last until spring. Now do I just keep the fluid full, and chance it? Or go for it?

Might need to get Ron (my transmission Buddy) over this weekend and hammer it out.

EDIT: Six in a row, ready to tow!

When I discovered the diff leak this morning, it didn't look like it lined up to how I had it parked last night. Just went back to yesterday on my camera, and it actually leaked out on Sunday night. It didn't leak last night which probably means it's low on fluid now. Swell.... hopefully it's not burnt. It's so cold right now, I think that would be hard to do, LOL.

Y'all stay safe with this covid crap! I had my booster about a month ago. Moderna for all three jabs. Each made me feel like poop for about 18 hours and a super sore upper arm for a few days.

Here in the UK we've been quite lucky where I work.

Only 1 person has caught it and she was already working from home so didn't affect us who were still going in,

My 1st & 2nd jabs were both Astra Zeneca, 1st Jab, didn't feel great for about 1 day, then was ok, 2nd Jab, pretty much just a sore arm

Booster Jab was Moderna, sore arm for a few hours then completely fine

Working my way to a free Pizza...

Just went over to Autozone to get a pinion seal. The girl says "we have a Duralast for $5.49 and a National for $13.49, but they are the same thing just in a different box". I asked to see both of them so I could compare. She seemed perturbed, but that's fine with me. She brings them both out and the Duralast box says "Made in Taiwan" and the National says "Made in Mexico". She opens them both up and says "see, they are the same seal", eluding to the fact they are both painted red. The Duralast seal feels like hard plastic... the metal seems thinner. I bought the National. It has "Mexico" stamped right in the lip. I'll take a Mexico seal over Chinese all day.

I think she thought I was nuts... I didn't feel like explaining my reasoning, I just told her I'd take the National.

They're the same size and the same color. so what could possibly be different?
I miss when almost every auto store worker was more than just a clerk, understood cars and car parts.
