The most depressing thing about a kidney stone is seeing just how small it is.... truly the worst pain of my life.

Better now but still have some residual pain.

Yep... it looked like a fleck of pepper when my Brother had one.

I pulled the 351 out today... had to run to Cal Ranch and get a bigger allen wrench. Biggest I had was a 3/8, and The oil cooler adapter on the 351 was a 7/16. Got a pretty good set of large allen's though. I got this set... and it was actually cheaper at Cal Ranch.

Hahahahaha.... yep, I sure do, AK.

A guy at work just turned 31 on Tuesday..... He said "I don't really feel any older". I told him "It all hits you when you turn 40".

That was my turning point, lol.

Warning, rant ahead: OK, I'm getting frustrated. I've tried hammers, I've tried an air chisel, I've tried PB Blaster, I've tried freeze off, I've tried a dremel cutting wheel and I still cannot get this !@#!$@%! torsion bar out of the key to save my life. Really don't want to have to drop both crossmembers to pull the lower control arms out but that's what it's starting to look like what I'm going to have to do. And of course it's been sitting so long now the battery is dead and I haven't even started on the exhaust manifolds. Of course I don't have a bloody garage to work in so am stuck working in the non stop rain we've been having. Not to mention two funerals in two weeks to add to the fun.

And of course today is 90F.

All right I'm done but I'm open to ideas on getting this suspension I've been fighting for two months done. About to the point of calling the local pick and pull and having them take it for the 200$ they will give me. Will have a bunch of new suspension parts to sell.

Might cut the bar out of the crossmember but that means I need to buy a welding kit which is fine. About time I learn how to weld too.

Edit: Is there an air hammer that you would recommend that won't break the bank. I cannot easily afford a 500$ air hammer for what should hopefully be a one time job. (Of course I say that and something will happen.)

Best air hammer for the money is the one Eric O uses on South Main Auto Channel on YouTube. It is made by Astro. He calls it "Big Nasty".

I went to the paint store.... 100 dollars later the motor will be Ford Corporate Blue. The guy at Superior has been talking up KBS for a long time now, so I'm going to give it a shot. They have a spray on rust converter that gets it ready for their Motor Coater (not Boater). I gotta go get some degreaser and a Fram PH1 filter so I can get it painted. Got almost all of the TC cover gasket off.... that was fun.

Eh, buy an FL-1A and leave it blue until the first change!

My intake gaskets won't get here until Monday, so one more weekend without the Mustang being finished.

I remembered that I had that adapter that I just took off the motor, so I stuck that back on instead of a filter. I got it as clean as I can.... and I'll tell you what, that dollar store degreaser is some damn good stuff. With that and a wire brush, it really cleaned up well.

That sucks about the intake gaskets...... that makes me wonder if I ordered intake gaskets yet.... hmmmmmmm.

I think I bought a kit for an Explorer, but I'm not sure now. Better check on that, lol.

EDIT: Glad I don't work night shift anymore!
