I wish there was a way to force check and download any pending updates (just like you can do on a Windows PC), but Ford decided otherwise...
I think what definitely helps to get the updates the moment they become available, is to have your battery fully charged (for example, if you are not driving for few days, put it on a charger).
The other good practice is when you actually do get "update available" on your truck screen, do connect the battery charger while it is doing its magic, to ensure that the update goes smoothly, and does not get interrupted due to depleting 12V battery half way thru.
Lastly - and this is NOT proven to actually work - I did reboot my Gateway module using Forscan. I am talking about the module that provides wireless communication with Ford servers. The idea was - just like you reboot your home internet modem/router when your internet becomes iffy, that may, at least in theory, help. Again, I cannot claim it helped me to get updates, but I did get some minor update shortly after.

I was not getting updates at all. Until.
I disconnected both batteries at the same time let sit for 30 min and re connected.
I also keep the extra battery under the back seat and main battery on a charger alot. I park in our 3 bay garage so very easy.
After doing this I started getting updates like crazy... Probably 7 to 8 of them now.
I have been trying to get a screen shot of them. I wish the ford app would keep a list. I guess the app is free so we can't complain.
Is SYNC4 version 25094_PRODUCT Revision:1779 the latest available for 22 model? (It claims BC 1.4, but I am not sure if it is a full BC 1.4 or BS)
That is the latest available Sync version and is supposed to give you the button for the BC 1.4 features, but not BC 1.4 itself. That comes with an IPMA update; in some cases, 2 IPMA updates are needed.
Odd question... I received a notification that new software would be loaded in my truck tonight and checked the version number. It showed 6.7.0 which is a MachE specific update.
This is a 21 F150 Lariat with 2.7L engine.
Any ideas why I would be getting other vehicle updates?

@F150LariatMan Got your message, but responding here for the sake of the info being out there. It is an OTA called 6.7.0 (which is strange), but it is for the IPC and not the frunk module like the Mach E and Lightnings.
Release notes say:
Group ID 1 - Software Update - 6.7.0*Smoother Updates Ahead* • This update prepares your vehicle for future enhancements, helping your system handle new features with ease.**

I got all kinds of nice updates. Even the window update. I noticed there is a little better control when you roll them up and down. Before you hit the button and they would move more than you wanted them too.
