@rugedraw Sorry to bother you again... I ended up buying my own mongoose cable since I figured I would possibly need it again down the road. I was able to do 95% of the updates but for some reason when I try to do the APIM the USB prompts will not pop up on my sync screen when inserted in the truck. I can get through the process in FDRS and copy the files to the USB but when I insert it there is nothing that pops up after waiting up to 10 minutes on the sync screen to install the files from the USB. I tried two different USB's one being brand new. I did a soft reset and also a factory reset through the sync prompts and still nothing. I have the battery charger on with good voltage as well. Any suggestions? The only thing I've read that might be a next step would be to disconnect both batteries negative cables for up to 30 minutes but wanted your opinion first. THANKS!

At any point after inserting the USB, do you see a message pop up in the top left saying "usb indexing" or it does nothing at all? Did you format the USB to exFAT?

Plug the USB into the laptop and open it and send me a screenshot of the root of the USB and the contents inside the "fordsoftwareupdates" folder.

Just one file? Usually APIM updates are several files, but I guess it can be just one. Is there a manifest file outside of the fordsoftwareupdates folder?

There is now, looks like a security cert.

Without the manifest there, the USB won't be recognized. You said it is there now...... it wasn't there before?

It wasn’t but showed up after I ran the process again after saying yes to it working. It reflashed the USB then it was there. Here are all the pics I took to show where it shows all passed with the exception of the USB load. On the one off chance the USB was bad o plugged my phone in via the USB port and it’s working because my phone connected.

Oh, so it installed all the files except that one. I have two other cases like yours going on now that we can't resolve. I'll send your VIN to Ford to see what they tell me. It'll take a few days before I can get back to you. It seems to be a problem on Ford's side. 3 trucks with the same issue is not a coincidence anymore.
