My tailgate is very intermittent. I can use the remote, the ruck flashes lights and makes a beep but must of the time doesn't open. It opens every time from inside the truck.

 

Ok, I have not had an update in 2 1/2 years even after replacing modem 3 times. Every time I go near a cell tower my sync screen blacks out for a second, music stops and then there's a message that says WIRELESS CONNECTION FAILED.....The wireless connection with your phone failed. Please connect phone via USB to use android auto". This happens even when I don't have my phone with me listening to AM radio. Do you think that a bad TCM is the problem? Rugedraw said
that that I would have to use FDRS to program the Apim and GWM, but this may be a possibility!

 

23-PU1113-UNX-DC. It was released to fix a config issue within the TCU that was causing connectivity issues for vehicles, so wifi was the only way to get the update pushed out.

Are you double pressing the tailgate release button on the remote? IIRC, this was changed a while back to avoid accidental opening of the tailgate with the remote. Before the update, only a single press would open it.

 

I have the exact same problem. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the tailgate sensor but I am still having the problem.
Dealer said I could leave it with them and they would take a deeper dive into the issue.
I have not taken them up on that yet...

 

Yes. As I said, it works intermittently (every time I have my phone out to record) but when I need it (grocery store or ball field) it does not work.
