Yea, that's the way it works. The proper term is "lane change assist". Auto-lane change is part of BC 1.5 which would change lanes automatically without you tapping the turning signal. That does not exist for our trucks......at least not yet.
Does BC work with a trailer connected? (I doubt it.)
i have a Frankenstein 2016 f150 3.5 Eco boost crew cab, its a rebuild, xlt frame, lariat body? i have cloth seats so idk its confusion, but i have sync 3 version 2.0,vin on door jamb vs sync vin is different, sync vin through ford site shows im running sync 3, version 5.10, new update is 5.11, i want to update from 2.0 to what ever is new aswell as be able to use apple car play, but my usb doesnt work(and yes i tires via wifi, scans and shows the last scanned time but doesnt give a update, i pulled it out, i have the usb mini a which goes from head unit to port, but no power wire(4 pin connector, two wires pos and ground i cant find it anywhere, i pulled the whole front part out and no connector... all i found is a 4 pin connector with 3 wires, cant remember colors but when i checking on Mitchell according to wiring diagram its for a aux port.. im very lost, everything shows the missing harness as it should be apart of one big assembly,.
i hope someone can figure out where it went.. because i swear last time i pulled the usb port it had the power connector..

I don't have BC but do have ACC. It's annoying when I don't notice that I've gradually slowed down because the vehicle in front of me is slower. i assume auto lane change would route me around the slower vehicle, which would be nice. I also assume it would be an optional setting and still allow lane change assist.
When Ford updated my 2023 F150 platinum from BlueCruise 1.0 to BC 1.4 I was glad, but there was an important side effect: The system stopped recognizing speed limit signs or adjusting the speed of the truck up or down when the speed limit changed. After a while I realized that there might be a menu item somewhere that turned this feature on and off. Sure enough there was. The upgrade had turned speed-limit adjustment off. When I turned it back on, speed limit signs were again recognized and the truck's speed adjusted, as before. (I was surprised that the upgrade to 1.4 produced this change, as taking away speed adjustment makes the truck possibly dangerous across speed-limit transitions until one realizes what is happening.)
Another benefit of going through the features and settings menus was that I saw that the auto-lift feature of the truck tail-gate also was off. That meant that the tailgate had to be lifted manually, and it is heavy. When the feature was turned back on in the menu, it lifted automatically, as I wanted it to do. I think this capability was turned off in a previous visit to the local dealer, when the system was reset, rather than the 1.0 to 1.4 upgrade. Either way it is nice to have it back.
