I believe ford told me I am currently on version 4 and the newest is 6. Something. Any ideas on how to get updated? I set a scheduled update.
What Sync version is the truck on? Message me the VIN.

Default Phantom Updates?

Okay so I already had my vin checked out several weeks back and I was on 23159 rev 915. My dealer updated the truck to 23291 Rev 1049 to attempt to fix a few resetting issues I was having. I also just replaced the dying battery. A few days later I got in the truck and had a bell notification. I clicked it and it said I had an update so I let it do its scheduled thing. Then nothing. The bell keeps popping up, but when I click it for details it tells me there isn’t an update. I also don’t have the ability to “update now.” Ford Pass isn’t seeing this update either. Are these the phantom updates?

Looks like a phantom update notice to me. The only way to check for sure is with the VIN, but everything points to this being a phantom notice.

Got your message. OTA history shows no recent OTA activity, so you can ignore that notification you saw.

I appreciate you checking! I guess now all I can do is wait and see if any of the new ones start coming through.

Correct. No way to speed up the OTA process, either.

I got your message. The last OTA you got was 6.1.0, so yes, you are a bit behind. However, it is current enough for BC to be working. Everything indicates BC should work on your truck, but the subscription to Bluecruise shows as "available" and not active. If you paid for BC, then Ford needs to send an activation signal to your truck.

Hello rugedraw sir,

I kind if gave up after the last dealer visit. They gave me a quote for ~3k to replace the APIM. Out of the blue today I got an update. Power 6.10.- Bluecruise Map Update. I am still on software 23519- rev 915.

Is any of this positive?

sending my vin in DM

Yes, that is great! 6.1.0 is a GWM update and when these updates install, it releases more updates for modules like the APIM which is what will give you a higher Sync version. So yes......positive indeed!
