Is there a thread about the Mongoose rental? A way to see how long the list is?

I tried searching for "Mongoose" and it brought up too much info to go though. I tried looking at different threads for 15 to 20 minutes but could not find what i was looking for.

You can find them used on eBay sometimes or in the "for sale" sections of Ford forums. Just make sure it a Ford one as they all look the same.

Regarding the updates screen's circle going round and round ---> I took your message to my local Ford dealer's service department, with whom I've had good experience for a long time. I'm not sure what they did, but whatever it was, it did not solve the problem. As is a warranty issue (truck is a 2023 F150), they contacted Ford to get them to authorize a new GWM module. Ford did not do authorize but asked for some more measurements and information, which dealer service did, they said. So far (two weeks now) Ford has not authorized replacement, nor have they given the service department any other instructions. There is a recall notice also pending for this truck, which has not been done as, apparently, programming of the same module (system?) is required.

What is happening here? What should I do ? It seems to be on a hold of indefinite duration.

 

Did you try the battery pull yourself?

 

No I did not. In hindsight I wish I had. The reason that I didn't was that the truck (a hybrid) has more than one connection close to the negative terminal, and I didn't have the right tool to fit in the available space exactly right.

 

Rugedraw, the last update that shows on the FordPass App has a date of September 3, 2024 and I was trying to see how far behind my truck is on updates when you get a chance. I will DM you the VIN if you don't mind taking a peek whenever you get a chance, thanks in advance for looking into this.
