Even if you do that, the module will still have the old software on it. The config and the firmware is not the same thing. The only thing you will gain from doing that is the HVAC update will no longer show available so you won't continue to get the OTA which will continue to fail.
my OCD is an overdrive right now with the failed update. I have. I wish there was a way to ignore an update so it does not keep trying and failing. I know it’s trivial to most. Drives me nuts, not to have the current update and it drives me even more crazy to know that it’s going to continuously fail. I don’t know why I am the way I am. But I am. Lol
Decided to update my truck last night with FDRS as I haven't received an update in while. Had some issues getting the GWM to take and finally disconnected the battery and let it sit for a while. Hooked it back up and it finally completed. Now I am having the same issue where the power steering module and ACM won't clear from FDRS after being updated. Shows it was successful for both, but the modules still show needing to be updated. Anyone have this issue before?

Ignore the ACM. For the PSCM, you can try clicking the IPMA in the toolbox tab and run the IPMA config routine. Once it configured the IPMA, it will also configure the PSCM. If that does not clear it from the list, then ignore it.
I just picked up this 21 platinum a few days ago. I had to contact ford because I purchased the blue cruise plan, it charged me but said there was an error and wants me to purchase again. They told me to give it 24 hours. I then found out that the software for sync is a few versions behind. I checked for updates but it says my truck is update. I believe ford told me I am currently on version 4 and the newest is 6. Something. Any ideas on how to get updated? I set a scheduled update.

Congrats on the new truck. Unfortunately you are likely not even close to up to date on the software required to run Bluecruise on your new-to-you 2021. I’d guess that you have dozens of required updates (Sync and several other modules) which will take 15+ hours of your time to do. It involves buying or borrowing a $575 Mongoose cable and a 2 day $50 subscription to FDRS. Lots of info here and on the gen14 forum and lots of people who will help you out in your endeavor. Maybe, just maybe, you could get your dealer to do it, but I highly doubt it.
