Default Powerboost Engine Temp OTA Update

2023 Hybrid Powerboost Engine
OTA updated received last night

Obviously it's summer and 30+c temp outside & Engine Temp Icon seems warm
But truck does not run on any EV mode and suggests Engine Cold ... ?
Does not make sense at all.
Thoughts ?

If it's a PCM update you received, the truck needs to go through a temperature cycle before it will go into electric only mode again. For me it's take anywhere from 10-20 minutes of continuous driving to get it to operate normally again.

@rugedraw --- Thank you very much for this comment. Reading it I find myself feeling both good and bad. Good because there exists a BC 1.4 that is a huge improvement. Perhaps we will get it before too long Bad because December was a while back, an eternity for IT people, so that suggests that whatever went wrong is a complicated problem that's difficult to fix. But I remain optimistic.

Your truck is on Sync 23159 which is only behind the latest. You got a GWM update at the end of April and nothing has been sent to you since. You are not terribly behind. Nothing to be worried about, imo.

As of two weeks ago, they started upgrading Mach E's on BC 1.2 to 1.3. No other news as far as the F150's are concenred.

Correction: The vehicles being upgraded to 1.3 are on 1.0, which is great news!

It's probably buried somewhere in this thread - why isn't Ford updating the Mach E's directly from 1.2 to 1.4?
What's the difference between BC 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4?

Nobody knows what happened to 1.4. It is very strange.

The difference is stability and consistency. The lane change assist and other features not included in 1.0 come with all 3 newer versions. However, 1.4 is more stable than 1.2/1.3 in terms of not disengaging as much and keeping you in the center of the lane better.
