As my post (6 above says, I got update 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD a couple days ago. This update is horrible, I lost about 50% of my volume, and the sound is horrible now. Before the update I would set the volume between 4 and 6 around town driving, now after the update I have to put the volume between 8 and 12. Now for the sound quality, before the update I would say it was decent, now it sound like an old AM/FM radio. Yes, I've checked and tried changing all the setting, nothing helped.

Has anyone else received this update, if so what was your experience?

I had an audio update back in Feb during my manual update process along with many other modules. Total of about 6 hours of my time in FDRS, then another 3 hours by Jessie working his magic on my IPC and a couple of other modules to fix that probable corruption caused by one of the 4.2.x updates. I have the BO Unleashed, but didn't notice any issues after that audio update. So unless this is some new update or is for the non-Unleashed system, I can't say I have any problem. Once Rugedraw gets back, I will ask him to look at my VIN and see if any new updates are awaiting, in case this is a new batch of updates being released. If it is, I am hoping it doesn't foul anything up as my truck has been working really well.

I've gotten a couple of updates in the past few weeks, neither of which show an identifier. The latter one required the truck to be shut down. The descriptions of both are, of course, uselessly vague.

addabob, I'll be curious to hear what Rugedraw finds when he gets back!
Yeah, this last one required the truck to be down as well. I sure hope Ford puts out a fix for this one, if they don't I'll have to install an old 8-track, it'll sound better.

Do you have the BO Unleashed? If so, I'll maybe shy away from that one till they fix it. I asked for a VIN check for available FDRS module updates over on the other forum. I'll see what it turns up and report back.

EDIT: Reporting back... I have 2 module updates showing in FDRS. THe DSP Audio and the HVAC. All the rest are up to date.

Hi,

First time here. Just picked up my 2023 PowerBoost a few weeks ago. Can someone tell me what version(s) I'm on and how far behind I am, if at all? I can't find anywhere to clearly tell me what versions I'm on.
VIN: 1FTFW1ED6PFB31984

Thanks!

No, I don't have the Unleash.

Default 21 wont update. Rear cargo view.

2021 powerboost. stuck on rear cargo update wont update. Any tips or tricks? I had auto updates turned on. In truck it does not give me update now as an option. I have tried multiple wifi connections. Took it to a dealer thats pretty worthless . Response . “we could replace the display but we dont really do that”.

All this worries me. What is going to happen or not happen if I turn Auto Updates off?

WiFi connection (to truck) has nothing to do with OTA updates. Absolutely every update save one has been delivered via TCU only.
