I thought that might happen since your Sync version is newer than the one where 2021 trucks are known to get stuck not getting updates. However, it is not normal that your truck has never gotten an OTA. I see they tried to perform the module repair process and I see where FDRS spit out that message.....they are being truthful. However, they did not try to update the APIM, either. If you or Ford can get them to perform a few updates (I'd say the APIM, GWM and TCU at least), that may be enough to wake up the OTA process on your truck. Good luck.

Yes, my truck allows lane-centering while towing.

Interestingly though, when I'm in tow/haul mode and I turn off 'lane-centering' in the Sync menu (so that I only have lane-keeping), the lane-keeping doesn't work in tow/haul mode. If I switch to normal mode, it works. I have no idea why. My 2019 didn't have lane-centering, only lane-keeping and it worked in tow/haul mode.

Just an FYI regarding the pace of OTA’s - my last update was 3.5.2 a bit over 10 months ago; the dealer told me on a visit for other issues that 3.5.3 had failed a few times, but there was nothing they could do. Today I finally got 3.5.3. I did nothing to trigger the process. So the process worked by itself without intervention, but took over 10 months to queue up a pending update.

Question for the group. Is there any reason NOT to have updates turned on? I received my 2023 F150 Lariat back in May of this year. I never thought to look in that menu but during a recent road trip I did happen to look. Updates are turned off currently...

I can see they updated the IPC and an the Bluecruise enabling config program. Seems to have gone fine. You just need to make sure all the setting for BC to work are on and try it out. Does your "about sync" screen show a BC expiration date of 2073?

There is no reason to keep auto-updates off. In most case, if you get an OTA sent, it will install either way. Auto-updates only applies to updates that require the vehicle to be parked and inhibited while they install. Updates that can be done while the vehicle is in use will install regardless of that setting being on on or off.

Do all updates give some sort of confirmation of completion, or do some get installed behind the scenes?

You are supposed to get a notification in Fordpass, but it doesn't always happen and in some cases, the notification comes late.
