Now that 4.2.3 is out, please advise on that one, too.

Anyone who has gotten 4.2.2, 4.2.1.2, 4.2.2.1 and/or 4.2.3 please advise which update you got, the year, engine and if your truck is a Raptor or Tremor, please specify that.

Thanks for your input.

Are you guys doing anything special to get the updates? I got 3.5.2 on October 13, 2022, but nothing since. I've never really done anything to prep my vehicle for an update, but there are YouTube videos out there saying that you should reset the radio, send feedback, disconnect wifi and do 3 handstands and a summersault before setting your parking brake and locking the doors. Any validity to these voodoo tactics?

My truck is a 23 5.0 Platinum in regards to my prior post about receiving 4.2.2.1

The OTA trigger for 2.8.1 expired back on 1/24. I can see it still shows pending in the system, but the OTA did expire and you have to wait for it to be resent to try it again. Many people have had issues with that particular OTA and the low battery issue. It requires the vehicle to be inhibited for almost 2 hours while it installs. The next time you get the OTA trigger, connect your truck to a 10amp+ battery charger in the evening when you park it for the night, and leave it charging overnight. Set the update to install at 4am or so after the truck has been on the charger for hours and keep it on the charger while it installs. This will significantly increase the chance of it installing.
How do you know when you get an OTA trigger?

You forgot about the part where you have to hop on one leg while rubbing your belly counterclockwise and patting your head while reciting a tongue twister backwards.

Zero validity to anything in that video. Anyone that tried the video and got an update afterwards got it out of pure coincidence. That video has been debunked by people much smarter than me when it comes to these things. There is nothing you are anyone can do to trigger an OTA.

You should get a notification in your Fordpass app.

Thank you, sir.

I figured that those videos were click-bait of some sort...all those desperate F150 owners just wishing for an update.

My sense is that 21 xlt owners were the focus of updates last October, but we haven't seen nothing since then.

This scenario seems normal. We're all in the boat together on this. and I'm betting when its time for the updates to bring in 3.5.3 with full screen maps that we've all get the updates.....

Wonder when Ford will stop playing with the system and stop issuing updates!

The 3.5.3 has been being pushed out for months at this point. Some people have gotten it multiple times (due to it failing to install the first time) and others have not gotten it once. I don't get it.
