Are there any issues hooking up a battery charger to a 2021 F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid? I ask b/c the Auxillary 12v battery under the back seat is wired in parallel with the main battery on this truck - wouldn’t want to fry anything!


Also, do you have a preferred brand/model of charger (or tender)?

 

That is a good question. I am not sure. Hopefully someone with more technical knowledge can chime in. I use a 10amp Noco battery tender, but I don't think the brand matters so much as just having something on there to keep the voltage high.

 

Is 4.2.2.1 the latest update? I got 4.2.1.2 today

 

It is one of the latest. These 4.2.xx updates may be specific to certain model years and/or trims. I am still compiling data to figure that out. For the time being, the list of updates is being managed over on f150gen14 forums. The one thing we know for sure now is that only 2022 and 2023 trucks are getting the 4.2.x.x. updates. My sync version is 22192 Rec 498.

Is that’s ok or not to complete the final download to 3.5.3?

 

I'm at 3.5.3 with Sync 22293 Rev 610. Not sure if that came with 3.5.3 or earlier. Hoping for the next updates to come soon. I saw my Sync network go active on Monday which usually indicates I am gonna get an update within 4-6 days...

 

3.5.3 will get you to Sync 22293 and give you full scree capability, so you do want that one to go through.

Please post which update you go and the year and engine of your truck. I am trying to compile data to see if any of these updates are specific to a certain year or drivetrain. I can tell you that 4.2.1 is going out to anything 2022 or 2023, but I am not sure about the rest. Thanks.

 

I'm in the early access program, and received 4.2.2 for my 2022 Powerboost on March 25th. I haven't received anything after that one.
