Yeah. Just picked mine up after a week at dealer and still at 1.4. The paperwork states "Could not duplicate". Is that generic for we don't give a crap? Not sure if they even tried.
They hooked up your truck to FDRS, performed a network scan to pull up the available updates, they clicked the APIM update, and then backed out of it and didn't do sh*t. Your truck is still on Sync 20301 and unable to receive OTA's.
They need to perform an APIM recovery process and try to manually update/repair your APIM. If it does not work, then they need to replace it under warranty and run proper PMI process on the new one when it arrives.

Now they are in trouble. Bet they billed ford for what they told you they did, but didn't do. So now it's on their own tab to dig themselves out of this hole they dug for themselves.

No, they put on the ticket that "they could not duplicate" the problem, so they can't bill Ford for anything they did. Ford can see the same things that I see, so they can't get away with stuff like that. The thing is, there is an active TSB out that they can use to bill Ford for this and get paid for their troubles.

Went back to the dealer last night after bringing it home and lost my cool with the service manager. He was a nice guy but never called me after multiple requests with the service advisor. When I arrived, there was no customers anywhere and they were just standing around doing nothing. This didn't help my attitude. I called for 2 hours prior multiple times to speak to the Manager incase I needed to wait and not drive back there for nothing. but manager wouldn't call me back. Knowing they closed at 6pm, I made my way there mad as hell. Anyway, I get there and found the manager. I explained to him the info rugedraw provided (without disclosing my source) and he knew the gig was up. His eyes wide and without hesitation, he said "leave it" and he was ordering a new APIM. I asked him why the mechanic blew it off and didn't do that in the first place or try to fix it and I had to return back there for no reason, and he had no explanation of course. Lesson learned check everything before leaving the dealer. I trusted them but never again. rugedraw is invaluable here.

I don't know why they would order a new APIM without trying to fix the one that is already there with the TSB I posted, but as long as they get you out of where you are now, then you should be good to go at some point. Make sure you tell them them to run the PMI procedure on the new APIM. It is very unlikely that they update every thing your truck needs because will take 12+ hours and Ford does not pay them for module updates, but at the very least, it'll open up your truck to getting OTA's again.
I figured I would throw my hat into the mix. Prior to this week I havent received any updates since early November when I needed a dealer intervention. This week I received two updates and now I'm sitting at 3.5.2 but still no full screen update. Is my APIM functioning correctly? Cheers!
