Software Updates
4.2.1 is only available via the OTA process. That update is not in FDRS for dealers to perform.
I have a 2022 F150. I know nothing about updates. I am an old man that hates the new technology. I recently was able to schedule my truck for weekly updates that happen on Monday mornings at 2:00 a.m. I'm told the truck will not start during these updates. All of the issues I see you guys discussing here makes me wonder if I should stop doing scheduled updates. Please advise!..Thanks..

Edit: The vast majority of OTA updates do NOT require the vehicle to be parked.

Auto updates schedule only applies to updates that require the vehicle to be inhibited while the update installs. Otherwise, any OTA you get sent will install automatically regardless of whether you have auto updates on or off. Your truck being a 2022 has most of the updates installed on it already. You really don't need to worry about the updates. You can leave your schedule as is and just let everything happen natively.

Slim to none. Either way, you cannot prevent most updates from installing anyway. OTA's are designed to fix, improve or add features. While some people have reported some random issues after an update, it is very few people that have gotten a negative outcome from an update. This thread is mostly about people NOT getting updates. In your case, you can just enjoy your truck and not worry about updates. 2022 and up owners have most of the updates already on it from factory, so there are few updates that would be coming your way at this time.

Thank you...As time passes I'm liking this F150 with 2.7 L better and better!
Would someone mind checking my VIN? Last update was received in October. Also been going into deep sleep so curious if showing low battery. VIN. 1FTFW1E83MFC05246
Thanks

Unfortunately, you are pretty far behind and it will be a long while before you get caught up to the point where you will have full screen capability if you wait for the OTA process to take place.
