Software Updates
I took my 2023 in after my connected features, including Blue Cruise, and Ford Pass broke. I can't say it was caused by 4.2.1, but I can say everything broke immediately after. The dealer had it for a week and fixed nothing. I called Ford and was pleasantly surprised that I got two very helpful techs. The Ford Pass specific tech said they know 2023's have issues with Ford Pass which breaks connected features. They said a MY23 specific fix is being written and will be pushed in April. Blows my mind that an janky app can kill a core feature of a vehicle.
That must be the one the ford tech on my call with them said was pending for my truck, but amazingly the dealership couldn't see. On the battery disconnect, did you just disconnect the negative terminal? How long did you leave it off for? Thanks

Hey all, quick question. I just got my 2022 F150 XLT two weeks ago, I am working on getting OTA updates to allow for Full screen carplay, I've tried all of the "tricks" to try to force an update but no luck. I am not sure if my vehicle qualifies for OTA, truthfully I tend to work for the dealers of the cars that I drive so I normally can look this up on my own. My truck VIN 1FTEW1EPXNFC11274 has had the navigation removed due to the chip shortage. Does that being removed still qualify me for OTA updates? I feel I have tried everything but really I can be patient as long as I know it should still work for me lol
Thanks guys for your help.

I have noticed something a bit different over the past couple of weeks, I think since either the 3.5.3 update or the unnumbered mirror heater update. I am now getting the TCU network interface going active at 8:45pm most every evening. I have never seen this before, as it would only go active when I return to the garage and it reconnects or if I send the truck a command via Ford Pass. I have not seen the Sync network interface go active for a few weeks, so not sure if they have changed how the system is checking in or what.... Still none of the 4.2 updates making it here yet.

It's the ChiComs. They are watching your every move, @addabob
Some of these were already checked, but it was easier to hit multiquote and check them all than to go back and forth to see which ones were already done.
Last recorded OTA on your truck was August of last year. You are on Sync 22082 which is about a year old.
Yes, the update was sent to your truck, but the OTA campaign is not expired and you have to wait for it to be resent. Many people have struggled with that particular update failing due to low battery voltage, which is what happened to you. When you get it resent, connect your truck to a battery charger in the evening and set the update to install at 4am or so after the truck has been on the charger for hours.
As was mentioned to you, the dealer swapped out your APIM and ran a successful PMI process on it. They did not update it, just programmed it. Not sure what software version is on it as your truck has not synced with Ford's servers so it does not show what Sync version you are currently on. It would have been nice if they updated it, your GWM and your TCU to make sure you are completely removed from the stuck state. Hopefully what they did will trigger some OTA's your way.
Strange. Your truck is not recording any DTC's for low battery voltage.
Last recorded OTA was November of last year. None of those "tricks" do a damn thing. Not having nav does not affect your OTA's. Ford's OTA process sucks and all you can do it wait for it to be randomly sent to you.
Mind checking mine, please?
2022 that I picked up in Oct, but haven’t had a single update.

I am having issues with 2.8.1, says it's pending in my Ford Pass app but won't download to the truck. The check for updates in the truck says there are none. Anyone have any info they can provide? Customer service said ignore it...but it would be nice to know where I really stand on my updates. The app says it sent the update on 1/26/23.
My VIN is 1FTFW1E84MFA81648 is some one could run a VIN check.
