Tried to install 2.8.1 a dozen times with every one of them failing.
I was informed from this thread that the update fails due to a low battery issue so I connected this battery tender plus I had in my garage. It took a full day for the battery to register as completely topped off. I scheduled the install for the next morning and it finally installed successfully.
Also the auto stop/start option only worked occasionally and now that it has a fully charged battery it works every time I come to a stop now.
I am stuck on software 2.7.3. I am many months behind and have no idea how to force the latest update to 4.1.1 which was released this month. Can anyone guide me?

I'm stuck at the same spot since June. I did get the two lettered updates the end of October.
Hello, took my vehicle to the dealer recently and requested a SW update. When I picked up my vehicle , the service rep informed me that no SW update was available.
This same headlight issue was reported earlier as a bad BCM version release - I heard (other forum) it was removed from FDRS (to prevent the error) and if you update 1 more time it will roll back and go back to working code. One BCM update (now removed) even corrupted hardware and needed the module replaced.
thanks , just checked fdrs, no bcm updates available. Ran the Factory as configured bcm, didn't fix it. Got a bricked headlight.

They performed a network test with FDRS which is how you check for pending module updates, but they didn't perform any. I do not have FDRS to check if you have pending updates, but if you did, they didn't do any.
Actually, it turned out to be Ms. Ford Motor Company. I assume you're referring to them reaching out to me.
Julia from the Media Team sent a PM requesting more info such as the dealership info, which I provided. She reached out to me again on Fri asking if the dealership had contacted me with any updates. I shared that they had not, but I was at the dealership earlier that day to retrieve something from my truck ( a case of beer that got some gawking looks from both techs and customers as I carried it through the service bays to my loaner). I also indicated it appeared no one had looked at the truck since dropping it off on Mon the 12th as the first SecuriAlert notice received was when I opened the truck to get the beer (BTW, none were missing!).
She responded yesterday by escalating to the next tier and assigning a case number. Haven't heard back yet. However, don't know if it’s related but my truck was opened five times this morning and driven 38 miles. Right now the truck is locked back up after it was driven another mile and sat unlocked with the driver window open for about 20 minutes. Don't know if they have actually done anything (VIN 1FTFW1CD7NFA02183).
I'm going to pass by the dealership a little later today to get the latest while I'm out doing errands.

Long story short - local dealer aborted an update to return my 2022 Job 1 King Ranch yesterday after having my truck for 12 days and seemingly not doing anything with it for the first 9 days. It seems they did manage to do some updates in last couple of days. My About SYNC screen now shows SYNC 4 Software Version 22293 Revision 610 instead of Version 21297 Revision 253 that it seemed to show since I took delivery.

Yesterday they did PCM, ABS, SOBDMC, TRM, APIM, and IPMA updates.
