You wait. Also, maybe take a minute to read some of this thread. Most of your questions will be answered. Good luck.

Pretty much. The other option includes about a $600 investment to buy the tool and license needed to do it yourself.

Does it show the dealer reinstalling it in November? I can confirm this last 3.5.3 update on the 10th did fix some of Alexa's functions, before the update if you asked Alexa for a joke or something silly it would say that I wasn't authorize for that command, now everything works with Alexa after this last update.

I see a business opportunity here. With Ford failing with the OTA update program and the dealerships not always being much help it seems if someone that is well trained in the FDRS and Forscan that can go in and say do all the updates for (guessing) $300. That might be a good business for those that don't want to spend the $600 for the equipment and the one day license and risk that it does not work (and the one day license turning into multiple days while going through the learning curve).
But then I would guess that Ford legal would shut this down.
Frustrated and still stuck at 2.7.4.

I'm doing even better than that. I am loaning out my personal Mongoose tool for anyone who wants to update their truck without have to spend $500+ on one. Details in the link below:

It doesn't really work that way. When I access vehicle history, it shows my if they updated or tried to update modules. It does not tell me what "software version" they installed. I do see they performed a successful APIM update on 11/18, and according to the Power Up wiki, 3.5.3 is an APIM update, so it is pretty safe to assume that they did install 3.5.3 on your truck by updating your APIM.

You can ask them to update all modules that show a pending update on FDRS and hope that the bluecruise maps update is in there. If I remember correctly, it should be part of an APIM update that will bring your Sync version up to a newer one than the one you have now. I don't have an active FDRS license to check what modules you have pending updates, but ask your advisor and hopefully the tech assigned will put in the work. As long as the advisor writes it up as a "customer concern and complaint", they should be able to bill Ford for the time it takes to update the truck.
I did speak with the dealership and they handed the truck over to the garage to update. The next day the dealership said all was well and BC was up to date. We set up a delivery date of 1/12 @ 10:00. 10 minutes before I was walking out the door to go pick up the Platinum the dealership calls and said the truck was not ready. They said the tailgate wasn’t raising and the truck was “throwing some codes”. Received an update that they have to do some software downloads to correct the problems. Today not much more to add. Dealership/garage tech said they “called and emailed everyone possible and it’s a waiting game”.
Interesting choice of words. I’ve been doing nothing but “waiting’” since 2/22 and I certainly don’t feel much like a game to me!

could you please check my VIN and see what activity, if any has been made….1FTFW1E84NFC02549….Thank-you

I am almost scared to take my truck in for the windshield wiper recall, in that they might hold it hostage for weeks, and it is my only vehicle.

Actually, I have to redact what I said earlier. Cycling the ignition has been proven to work for the BC update. It states in the notes they did it to your truck after reconfiguring the GWM and they got the expiration date to update.

As far as the tailgate thing: That is a known issue that is going around right now. There is a module that is going bad and preventing the tailgates from working properly. Because of this, that particular module may be on back order causing the delay.
