This causes confusion to owners of the vehicles. If you provide your VIN, I can check to verify that is what happened in your case.

Edit: A lot of people have reported 3.5.3.2 as the update, and this one is 3.5.3. Maybe that has something to do it. Looks like I need to research this so I can update the wiki again. Message me your VIN if you don't want to post it so I can try and make sense out of it.
You may remember this. In October when I got 3.5.3 everything worked except Alexa, In November I took it to the dealer and they reinstalled 3.5.3, Alexa still didn't work. So I went in with Forscan and saw that Alexa was disabled, I enabled it and within a couple hours I got the notice that Alexa was ready. I'm thinking Ford saw there was a problem and stopped pushing 3.5.3 through, fixed it and is now starting to push it through again.

I'll message you my vin if you still want to take a look.

Vaguely, yes....I do remember that. Supposedly, having Alex off on FORscan is not supposed to make a difference, but for you, it did.

Yes, send it to me, please. I just want to satisfy my curiosity.

Default Software check please?

Hey all,

Wondering if one of you kind souls would be able to check my VIN and see where things are with the updates. I don't recall seeing anything new in a while. I also had my starter die on me about a month ago... This lead to the truck being in the shop for a while as well as disconnected from the battery for a bit.
Just curious if I missed anything.

Thank you in advance!

So it shows they sent you 3.5.3 back in October, but it failed due to a server/cloud operation. Now, they sent you 3.5.4 on 1/6 and then 3.5.3 came after it 4 days later. Basically, they sent you the updates a different order.

No OTA history on your truck in the past 60 days, so you didn't miss anything.

3.5.2 was sent to you on 10/14, but it failed to download any files or install. Reason for failure is listed as "cancelReason":"VehicleModeChanged(5)". I have no idea what that means. I don't remember ever seeing that error code before.

Then the update was sent to the truck before you took ownership. You just have to wait until it gets sent to you again. That update only prepares your truck for future updates, so you aren't missing anything tangible without it.

You cannot check what power up version you have. However, yours being a 2022, it was built from factory already up to 2.8.3. The only updates available OTA after that are 3.5.2, 3.5.3 and 3.5.4.

3.5.3 gives you full screen CarPlay/Android Auto capability, and 3.5.4 allows you to pair two phones at a time to the truck via bluetooth.

How do you get the latest updates , or do you just have to wait for Ford to send them?
