Oh, you lucky people that have a truck that is not broken. Monday mine goes to the dealer for the 5th time to "try" to get it to accept updates.

I just picked up my King Ranch. I have that icon on mine, but when I tap it, it doesn't actually go full screen. I'm guessing that means I need some updates?

Android Auto has not yet released the update that allows for true full screen even if you have the 3.5.3 update that allows for full screen capability.

Which is exactly why I called it "pseudo-full screen Android Auto" when I posted those pics earlier ...

We used to call that a "teaser" but I guess that isn't politically correct anymore.

This is an interesting screenshot ... thanks for posting it. Three quick questions, possibly naive and possibly answered in some other thread:
- Does FDRS come with documentation that describes the various acronyms (e.g. HS1) and menu choices?
- Is it possible to figure out, or is it documented, what is included in each module update?
It seems like it might be useful to be able to make decisions about which updates to install, so for example you could avoid installing certain updates that are known troublemakers.
- And finally, does FDRS or some other documentation include a list of co- or pre-requisites, i.e., "install A before B, or A requires B in order to work?
Or is it the case that folks just update every module shown as needing an update?
thanks again ... interesting stuff.

No documentation, but if you look at the individual updates listed, in most cases it spells out the acronym of the module. At this time, there are no updates on FDRS known to cause issues. There is no way to know if a new update that appears would cause issues unless you install it yourself and be the guinea pig, or what for others to install it and report back problems. A good practice is to back up your current module state so you can revert to it should an issue arise if you are doing an update that just came out. It does not give you an order in which to to install updates. That is a good question, as it may be important. Early 2021 owners have come across an issue where if you don't update the IPC before you get to a certain point with other modules, it will cause major issues getting the IPC updated. This is the reason that Ford recently asked dealers to stop performing the Bluecruise updates. The thing is, the guys on the forums already new about this issue and have a fix. Ford is still trying to figure out what the problem is. Go figure. The general rule of thumb is APIM and GWM updates have priority for others. Many times, you can update a module and as soon as you, another update for the same exact module pops up.

I can tell you it seems a lot more intimidating than it actually is.
