I just got my first OTA update yesterday, (no details in the update notes and the sync version did not change) so it appears all the modules are working!
I would like to see where I am at the moment without spending another $50 for FDRS.
Can I trouble someone for a quick peek? VIN: 1FTW1ED6MFB40180

TIA!
I believe you left an "F" out of your VIN. I don't have an active FDRS license, but the OTA you got is one of two small patches 2021 owners get before they send you 3.5.2. FDRS would show you have some modules pending updates. If you spend another $50, you can update your truck up to 3.5.4 and full screen carplay/android auto capability, Alexa and dual phone connectivity.

I indeed leave off an 'F', my mistake.

Thanks for the reply. Thats the exact update I really want to call it 'good', full screen AA/CP and cameras while moving would be amazing. Ill wait a few weeks to see if the OTA Gods push out the latest, if not then Ill force it with FDRS.

The only reason I haven't updated myself to full screen capability is because I'm an Android guy and they haven't released the update for our phones that allows it, so there's no point. If I get the OTA first, then I will be ready for it when Android takes it off the beta program and goes live. If they go live with the update first, I will have to give the inepts at Ford another $50 to do it myself.

So if I understand correctly, full screen is available (with proper updates) for Apple iPhone CarPlay. Not yet for Android? Guess that would explain why I couldn't get Google Maps to go full screen, even though there was a full screen button at the bottom which only changed my second screen on the right side of the display.

I've done the rear view camera a couple of times. It totally freaky...

Holy cow! I don't think my truck offers a camera view like that! :=)

Thank you, rugedraw.

I have the Clore PL2320 20A smart charger arriving today (needed it for something else AND this). I may go ahead and pop for the Mongoose-Plus and get things done.

Even if they let me keep the loaner that long, I would still want my truck while I waited. I couldn't live 2 months without my sound system. lol
My problem was that, because so many thing rely on the APIM, half of my truck's features were literally not available. Also, I didn't want to waste time picking up/dropping off/picking up/dropping off. So I TOLD them to just keep it until it was done.

Yup. The only Android users with full-screen Android auto are the one who got into the beta programs that started 1-2 months ago. I tried to get in the beta program, but no luck. Once they release the new version of AA (it's called Cool Walk), I will update my truck. I have apps that allow me to mirror my phone screen onto my trucks screen, so I'm really looking forward to the full screen feature.

I took mine into my dealer two weeks ago since as far as I know it hasn't updated since I bought it. Sync version is blank and I had to argue with the SA who insisted everything was working fine. I think I finally convinced them it needs a new APIM.
