Nav full screen on my 21 Platinum has been there since delivery March 2021. Was a soft switch in the bottom right when Nav is on the 12 in screen.

 

I guess I just never noticed it before! It would be nice if it could be set to default to full screen.

So is 3.5.3 suppose to let AA maps do the same thing? I use either one a lot. I plan routes on my desk top and send them to my phone.

 

I assum these updates are more than APIM sync updates? - comparing updating sync 3 to sync 3.4 etc...??? DId plenty of these.
I have mine set for daily update checking at 8pm. good wifi signal

The files I was referring to are to fix APIM's stuck in an old Sync version that require FDRS or a USB update to get it unstuck and back into being capable of getting OTA updates. Please note that I am not the one who makes these files, so I prefer to avoid answering technical questions about them since I am not an expert by any means. I am just a middleman between people who are stuck and the man that can possibly help and avoid owners having to jump through hoops at dealership service departments.

Your truck in particular is on Sync4.0.22177 which is one of the more recent ones, and I see you got the 2 small patches you get before 3.5.2 in September and a TRM update in November, so you are getting updates. I also see you got sent 2.7.3 in early September, but the update didn't install for some reason and the OTA expired on 9/21. Unless you manually updated with FDRS, this tell me you are still behind in Power Up updates.

 

Thanks for the clarity on the FDRS files. I am thinking about it(FDRS setup ) to get them faster. but still holding out for normal OTA updates. is it just a waiting game? hopefully in the next month.......

 

Yup.....just a waiting game. There is no rhyme or reason as to how or when updates get rolled out.

 

Yes. Android Auto and Apple Carplay both can go full screen (wide like Nav can) with the update.

You're in the same boat as me. You received 3.5.2 on 10/13 and no movement since then. Maybe one of these days they'll kick out 3.5.3 to more of us.
