Software Updates
@rugedraw Would love someone to check my status. Got my truck 3 weeks ago, got update 3.5.2 but nothing else. Connected to my home wifi, set auto updates every night but have gotten nothing. 1FT6W1EV5NWG10256. Thank you!
You received the two small patches you get before 3.5.2 on 9/9 and 9/12. You have a job 2 truck, so your truck shipped with most of the updates that have plagued people on this thread. I don't think you have anything to worry about; you should be getting 3.52 soon. You won't notice any change until you get 3.5.3 that allows for full screen AA/CarPlay.

Yes, you can and probably will get 3.5.2 before the 2.x.x updates. I have seen many cases where 3.5.2 comes in and get installed before older ones. 2.8.1 is one of the the biggest PITA to get to installed because it requires the vehicle to be inhibited and connected to a battery charger while it installs, and even like that, most people have had to try many times to get it to install before it actually does.

I see you got 3.5.2 recently on 10/7 after that same update failed on 10/6. I also see that 3.1.0 got sent to you twice in August, and both times it failed. The reason for failure is "vehicle mode changed" both times. Idk what that means, I am not familiar with the Lighting as much as the ICE trucks and issues. I have never seen that error message before, but I have not checked many Lightnings, either. At this point, you will just have to wait for the update to be sent to your truck again.

FYI - I was in the same boat - once you got the USB APIM fix to go through, the Automatic Updates toggle will work, and you just have to wait. I have had 4 updates in 3-4 weeks - still way behind but getting there. First one took over a week before it came through.
There are very few scenarios where we can tell if a truck is stuck. If you're getting updates, then you're getting updates. I got 3.5.2 in September and am still waiting on the other two. You have no other updates in your queue at this time, but as long as you got 2.8.1 and those updates a while back, you should be good to go. I can only see the past 60 days of history.
Ruge, when you have time can you check to see where I am on OTA’s. I haven’t received anything since I had my GWM replaced.

I see where the programmed the new module on 10/4 and the process shows it was successful. However, you have not gotten an OTA sent to you since 10/1 before they replace the module. That update was for the TRM and it failed. They didn't bother trying to update any modules when they had your truck in there. You just have to wait for the OTA's to be pushed to your truck again to see how it goes now that you have a new GWM.
