That won't work. The 21G01 campaign where Ford was paying dealerships for this expired at the end of last month. Ford is no longer compensating dealers for this. Anyone job 1 owner who is stuck on updates was left behind by Ford.

There is no way to tell when they will send updates.

His vehicle was updated on 9/27, just in the nick of time before 21G01 expired. But it is a pickle now -- the dealer performed the activity while the campaign was active and the work may not be complete. Who'll win that battle? We all know.

SSM 50824 2021 Mustang Mach-E/F-150 - BlueCruise Feature Inoperative With A Keep Hands On Steering Wheel Message Displayed In The IPC After Field Service Action (FSA) 21G01Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E and F-150 vehicles may exhibit the BlueCruise feature being inoperative with a Keep Hands On Steering Wheel message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) after performing FSA 21G01. This may be due to an image processing module A (IPMA) configuration concern. Using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS), download and run the IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Configuration app. Clear all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) after programming and/or running the configuration app. Verify that the BlueCruise feature is enabled and properly functioning by following the FSA 21G01 technical instructions.

Does it show a "Handsfree driving mode avail thru xx-xx-20xx" if you go into settings> about SYNC > scroll to the bottom?

Had my truck in the shop for three days. Tech performed a number of updates, which lengthened the anticipated stay. I received alerts via FordPass that told me I have BlueCruise and Alexa Built-in. I'm hoping some one can tell me if there is more to come or i'm up-to-date. My VIN is 1FTFW1ED3MFB74836 and my SYNC 4 Software Version is 22228_PRODUCT; Revision: 539

Thanks to @rugedraw and jesse for the files

I have a couple of questions. I should be picking my truck up next week, it's on a railcar about 125 miles from the CSX dropoff rail yard.. Before I take possession what version of the software should I have. And, how do I check, I don't have a truck to play with so I really don't know. I've been reading the owners manual but don't understand it.

Is it one massive software update or is there separate software update for each area. i.e. Blue Cruise, Sync, power up, etc

Should I insist all software updates be installed before I take possession? Any help will be appreciated.

If the updates were done with FDRS, I cannot tell with what I have access to if you're fully up to date. I don't have an active FDRS license. However, if you have BC and Alexa, you have to be at least close to fully updated. Do you have full screen AA/Carplay? if so, you are on at least 3.5.3. Maybe someone with FDRS can check and see if you have anything else pending, but the last thing they updated was the TCU which coincides with 3.5.4, so it looks to me like you are fully up to date. Congrats! I am happy to see more people reporting that dealers are getting better with these things.

Btw: I take zero credit for the files. Jesse is the brains. I'm just a messenger. lol

Nah, you're good. These issues are almost exclusive to 2021 job 1 owners who's trucks shipped from the factory without these updates installed because they weren't ready yet. Your truck will be missing little if anything at all if your just buying it now.

Based on your sig, your truck was built at the end of September which is when 3.5.2, 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 started being pushed out. These updates have been coming in randomly to all owners who are getting OTA's. When you get it, check and see if you have full screen AA/CarPlay capability. If you don't, then expect the updates I just mentioned to come in shortly after you take delivery of the truck. It could take a week or a month, but you'll get them. If you want, ask your salesman to tell the service advisor that writes up the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) they have to do to all vehicles when they arrive to ask the technician to check for updates and do them during the PDI process. I doubt they will do it because the PDI checklist from Ford doesn't specify checking for updates before handing it over to a customer (which is ridiculous to me), but you can try.
