You had 2.8.1 pushed out to your truck on 8/2, but it failed multiple times due to the battery not being charged enough. Very common issue with that update. The OTA campaign expired on 8/22, so you gotta wait for it to be pushed out to your truck again.

I don’t understand the rationale behind a software update ‘campaign’ that expires. I mean, when an update to your cell phone OS is pushed, it doesn’t ‘expire’, right?
Does this make sense to anybody else? (I’m an engineer who spent a career working on large, complex s/w h/w projects, so I have some basic understanding of testing and validation, configuration control and revision control. And what I’m seeing here doesn’t make a lot of sense to me,)
Color me curious.

No, it does not make sense to me or hardly anyone who follows or has had to follow this thread. We should just be able to hit a button to check for updates, and if there are any, download and install them on the spot. Just like 99% of updateable devices out there.

I did not noticed anything this morning but read on another forum it may have to do with live OTA map updates for BlueCruise. Will keep watch for any other changes and let you know.

I'm not seeing anything new at first glance, but I did receive the following email yesterday morning before the update which seems to indicate it may be related to BlueCruise maps.

Rugedraw, can you look at my truck again? I just hit it back from the dealer and they said it was a corrected and fixed. They still can’t figure out why my mobile apps button is grayed out still.
VIN; 1FTFW1E82MFB07129

Thanks again!
