Software Updates
Hello! Could someone run my VIN and let me know where I’m at on updates. I just received the 2 lettered updates, but before that I went all summer without an update. I have an appointment at the dealer Nov 28 and want to be prepared with some info. Thanks!

The Mongoose you spoke of will update all the modules? Like the FDRS software. Where do you get the license?

You get the license directly through Ford. a two day license will cost you $50.
There's an open recall for this concern that popped up when I typed your VIN in, 22P08. Maybe drop by the dealership sometime and get them to perform the recall to update the software and maps
Hi Anyone,
I just bought this truck a few months ago and if you could you please check my updates. I am specifically looking for the Pro-Trailer update that will allow the use of stickers instead of the sensor box. When I try to use the Pro-Trailer it is requesting to connect the module. I believe the update was 2.8.1.

Thanks rugedraw. I wonder why you can only see 60 days? That is just the time i have owned it and the previous owner put 22k miles on it. I get the same on service history. Could someone have erased the history of this truck?
Not at all. It's due to system limitations with Ford's tech website. It's not just your truck.....it's all vehicles that are OTA capable with Ford.
Simple observation:
I can usually tell when an OTA software update is downloading in the background for an APIM which hasn’t installed yet because the DSP reliably becomes unresponsive.
If you have the B&O system and only half your speakers work or you can’t get any audio to play it is likely because an update is downloading in the background.
I have come across this 4 or 5 times on three separate trucks in the last few months.
After the update, power cycle Sync 4 manually and audio will be restored.
My guess is the APMI stops talking to the DSP when an update is in progress and then doesn’t automatically reestablish communication again afterwards.
