Funny thing is that until the CoolWalk update comes out, the map can't get any bigger, which is what most people want. You get the side panel, but it just means you can have AA content on the side panel instead of the Ford side panels. When I hit the full screen on mine, the AA music panel just overtook the Ford Music panel. It was anticlimactic.

I suppose the buttons moving to the left side does make that Google Maps a little more square and more usable

It's not life changing. I don't think anyone should pay to get it right now.

Default Updates check.

Hello,
new to the forum. Just got 2.7.3 update last night. I am waiting for the update so I can use stickers with trailer assist. I have an appointment on Thursday for the dealership to update the trm module manually. Now that I'm starting to get ota updates I'm wondering if I should cancel that and just wait.

@rugedraw Anyway to check with the VIN what updates are pending for my truck? Or if any recalls? I just got it certified used a week ago so this is all new to me.

Vin is: 1FTFW1ED7MFA88980

Thank you!

Pending recalls: 21M08 for unintended tailgate opening.

You have the TRM update in queue on your truck right now. You it pushed to you yesterday afternoon. It does require the vehicle to be inhibited for 8 minutes. Go to your truck, go into the setting menu and check for updates. You should see the option to install it. Once you start the update, close and lock your door and do not touch the truck until it is done. If I remember correctly, you can see the progress on your screen.

As far as OTA's goes, you are fairly up to date. You got 2.8.3 in July which is the latest major update. You also got the two patches that come in before 3.5.2 last month. 3.5.2 does not show up in your queue yet, but that is also a minor update to prepare your truck for future updates. Luckily for you, it doesn't look like you are having any issues with OTA's.

My truck has tried installing 2.8.1 three times since yesterday. Is there anything I can try to do to help it along?

I have auto updates turned off, so I have manually accepted it three times. I've received four successful OTAs the last month or so. I'm very pleased with the recent progress. I have not run into a stuck OTA like this before.

Thank you! It said no update available. I sat there with the truck on for about 15 minutes playing with other settings and when I went back it finally said update now. After the update it said it was to fix the trailer brake recall issue. I still can not use the stickers for the pro trailer backup. According the the pdf I found, I need update 2.8.1. Does it say anything about that update?
