nice, 2.8.1 for me last night.. Hoping to get 2.8.2 soon as well.. Ever since I did the hard reset, everything has been coming in nice and smooth... Will try covering the sensor to see what it does, good info...

I think I found a consistent solution to this type of problem which seems to be more common lately. This fix will work on vehicles without the need to disconnect the battery or restore any as built parameters to default.

I have done this on three F150s including my own which has resolved random ethernet disconnected DTCs and / or no OTA data being reported through to PTS.

This might be a solution OR I just got randomly lucky with three trucks in a row.

Step 1 - This force reboots key problematic modules.
ForScan > Wrench tab >
reset TCU module (follow on screen guided steps)
reset APIM module (follow on screen guided steps)
reset GWM module (follow on screen guided steps)

Step 2
In Sync 4
Settings > General > Reset > Master Reset
(Yes, I understand a Sync Master Reset sucks)

Step 3
ForScan > Wrench tab >
reset TCU module (follow on screen guided steps)
reset APIM module (follow on screen guided steps)
reset GWM module (follow on screen guided steps)

Step 4
Re-authenticate Ford Pass and enable diagnostics sharing in the privacy settings.

Step 5
Perform a full vehicle shut down. Ignition off, step out side, close all doors, lock from outside with the fob, wait several minutes for everything to go to sleep.

Feel free to use the vehicle normally after leaving it off for a few minutes.

Step 6
Within 48 hours the next OTA will appear.
trying this method. just did all the steps, but im supposed to be taking it to dealer tomorrow to solve out the csp for no updates, trm, tailgate opening, and an oil change. we'll see if it does anything over night tonight. i dont have anything in fdrs, but i haven't seen any movement from 2.7.1 in almost a month. got 2.6.0, and then 2.7.1 a few days later, and now nothing. i thought it wouldn't hurt to try these steps. we'll see.

IPC replacement was successful. New module updated on first try. 2 other FDRS updates also applied, so hopefully I am fully up to date. BC worked well. It seems to have better lane centering than before. I also have cameras at speed.

Sync version is 22095.421. The message at the bottom of that screen says Hands Free Driving Mode available through 10-09-2022 and not the 1 year free as outlined, but those may be 2 totally different things. I did get the FordPass notification of Blue Cruise activation for a year…

So all is good for the time being. Hopefully more people can get squared away and up to par on the purchased capabilities soon.

Thanks to all who helped me try to figure things out during these past few months. It is really appreciated.

Good luck all!

You should get one full year from when it activated. This is what mine says after logging into the web and going to Connected Services for my truck:
