To my surprise update was successful overnight per ford pass app. Guess it liked the scheduled update versus manual.

 

I got 2.8.2 Last night out of the blue. Last update I got was 4-01-22

I don't think it has EVER updated, but just spent some weeks in the shop to get that addressed. Dealer said updates failed and are waiting on a replacement APIM now. Just want to see if you have visibility into what was tried or reason for failure.

I just got the truck back from the dealership and they performed ApmI repair program and now my automatic updates are now active again.

 

You've had 1.7.1 try to install four times since April and it has failed every time. The last OTA failure occurred June 12.

No OTA history on your truck for the past 60 days.

 

Is there a different Sync version for 2.8.2 and 2.8.3? Mine is reporting 2.8.2 was installed after the IPC replacement but I also have cameras at speed which is a 2.8.3 capability as I understand. Just curious as to my Sync version that is showing 22095.421 which I THINK is 2.8.3 even though my system is only reporting 2.8.2 as the latest update.

I see they tried to update the APIM on 6/15 and it failed but gave them a "poor battery condition" message and they continued anyways 3x before giving up. I don't see them ever trying a module update repair procedure or anything else so I'm surprised they jumped the gun and ordered an APIM before addressing the battery issue or trying to reset the Battery Monitoring System Learned Values.

 

I am finally getting to use the BC a bit.




I like it, but it wanders a lot and seems to prefer hugging the left side of the lane (very clear lane markings on both sides). Rather nerve racking in traffic when it is getting to within 6" of the lane marker then drifts back over to the right, only to then start it all again. I will have to maybe ask the dealer again if there is anything that can be done to improve lane centering such that it stays centered in the lane...

 

You might want to have the camera calibration done because I'm shocked how well mine holds in the middle of the lane during BC.

 

Yes, that is what I thought I had heard from others but wanted to be sure before I contact the dealer yet again. I am sure they are quite sick of hearing from me.
